Will this work for the camera on my phone? I have a hdmi port for the phone just wanted to know if this would work.

  • It will display anything source that send image through HDMI, I have never used it with my phones but I cannot see why it wouldn't work.

  • It's just snaps in, so it's fairly easy to remove.

does the monitor articulate forwards and backwards for viewing?

  • Yes it will. Don't forget to buy. The batteries. Also when you are not recording the picture is smaller and looks beautiful. Then when you record the picture will fill the screen it will go slightly out of focus and the color won't look very good. But don't adjust it when looking at the monitor in record mode.

Will this work with a Canon 7d camera? Does it have a threaded base for attaching to a camera rig/camera tripod? Thanks.

  • Hi. Yes the mount fits on my Canon Rebel Ti5 and Ti3, I would assume it would work on a &D... I and yes it does have a threaded base, I bought a rig, and attached the monitor to use with the threaded base and it comes with 2 types of shoe mounts. Hope this helps!

      I run my church ministries multimedia dept and we needed a monitor to stop using the view finder on the camera and this is amazing! Great picture display and I love the hdmi in and out or else we wouldn't be able to connect our cameras to our switcher but it defiently does what you needn't it to do!

      This monitor is priceless! it comes in so handy on set, I use it with my Sony EX1, it didn't work too well with my DSLR but it's gold with the EX1, really impresses the actors and producers on set.

      I am loving this monitor right now. Super clear. For the price I am getting exactly what I needed. The refresh rate at times is delayed slightly but other than that I am satisfied with this purchase. Fast shipment as well.

      Since my Sony a77 has no tethering capability and Sony's monitor has a smaller screen size and is considerably more expensive, this monitor works and serves my present needs sufficiently.
