Solid Tripod! I hesitated purchasing this, normally I would stick to more well known brands but I took a shot and hit on this purchase. Heading to Finland in a few weeks and needed a good travel tripod quick, this is the one that appealed to me late at night when I was drifting off. My hand must have hit buy now, because it showed up just a couple days after I drifted off. Great all purpose tripod, it's currently being used as a clothing rack, and I cannot believe the speed at which my clothes seem to be drying. Much faster than my normal tripod! I recommend this. On a more serious note, in all the stress testing I put this through, it performed well. Some cool features I noticed they added: Little hook on the bottom to hold your baby carriage or maybe a sandbag to stabilise? Not sure of purpose for sure. Mono-pod feature in case you need to sword-fight or whatever, it's a travel tripod, so I assume they want you to be prepared for everything! Folds down neatly to about 13'', is it coincidence that this is the same size as many billy clubs? Fantastic ball head with PLENTY of adjustment options! I threw some pictures on here as well. It was pretty tricky to take shots of because it kept moving around, but I managed. Thanks for reading my review folks, that's all I have. It's a solid 8/10. P.S. They packed it pretty darn well. Even gave me a cloth bag for its head!

This was a class item that looked really smart with it's black and gold colouring. Used the tripod for the first time with out any issues.Have found it easy to position and steady to use. No real wind so didn't need to try and stabilise it further with the hook underneath, could knock it for the conditions I was using it in. It is extremely light when comparing it to my main tripod - and small!! It folds up so small I actually ended up extending one of the legs slightly to fit attach it onto my should bag :) This is going to be great when travelling as it will easily fit in my travel luggage.

Just started photography as a hobby. After 6 months of taking pictures of flowers and textures (they are still), i've gone ahead and bought this tripod. It has opened a hole new box of possibilities, as i can now take long exposure pictures without having to worry about shaking! Night Shy photography, Light trails, Star trails and a lot more. It is relatively light to carry around, quite sturdy, and very strait forward to use. Quality of the plastic pits looks and feels solid too! Perfect gift for a photographer of any level!

It is of very good quality and sturdy given the lightness of it. I am a professional photographer and use a heavy duty Manfrotto for weddings and commercial photos, which is very good and rock solid in any type of wind or weather but also a tripod you wouldn't want to lug around when travelling. I have a Velbron which I used to use for traveling, but being aluminium, it wasn't too rigid or light and not ideal. I bought the QZSD Q999C because carbon fibre is more rigid and lighter and it folds up quite small, ideal for putting in aircraft hand luggage. I am not disappointed.

This QZSD Q999C Pro is lighter and compacts smaller and will easily fit in my rucksack. It is not as rigid as the Giottos and this will be because the QZSD uses smaller diameter carbon fibre tubing. I have used it as the fully extended support for my dslr complete with battery grip and pano bracket plus medium weight mid focal length lenses in mild breezes and my loaded rucksack dangling from the centre column and I got very good results even with long exposures. It will be ideal when I need small and light weight as the main factors. If I need the assurance of extra rigidity the Giottos will be accompanying me but at the cost of more bulk and weight. Found the legs a little stiff to move, but better that than having them too loose. If you want a carbon tripod that is versatile and well made, this is the one.

Per ora 4 stelle perché l ho appena ricevuto.

I am very happy with the tripod. It's lite, compact, and easy to store when not using it. As far as this tripod is concerned, you can't beat it for the price. It is lite so it's easy to bring along on the trail. It's reasonably sturdy for the average DSLR with a consumer level 75-300mm zoom lens. Any heavier than that and you should take other means to ensure the tripod is stable or use a more sturdy (and probably heavier) tripod. I personally do not like ball heads. However this ball head seems well built and works well.

It strikes me as a really good deal. If you're going to get this tripod, however, keep in mind that it's different in terms of design when compared to a traditional tripod. The main difference is that the mount is on a BALL JOINT. This gives you a lot of mobility. However, there is no control arm, if you're used to one of those. the ball joint, when loosened enough, can just drop the camera on you -- so you really need to control the camera by hand at all times when your ball is loose 2. the vertical riser/stem can also collapse on you when loose, as it is not gears; again, hang onto your camera when loosing up the connection 3. the then the third problem/negative is that this tripod only raises the camera up to about 5 or 5.5 feet; this means that if you're filming standing people who are not short, you'll have them looking down at the camera; this is not always the best angle, so some of us prefer a taller tripod So with those three negatives out of the way, I'd say that it's a very nice tripod. It's solid, the legs snap into place with assurance, and it's really cool how small this tripod gets in the bag. The bag itself is a camo design, which is nice in the field.

It is the removable leg for Monopole use that mainly attracted me, but I have to say... getting that blasted thing off for the first time was a Herculean effort! I had to grab a large microfiber towel for a non-slip grip, and twist with all my effort. Guess must be machined tightened on the assembly line. But once it is off, the On/Off action quite easy. The center column also comes out by removing the bottom hook cap, sliding it out, and then putting it on the 3/8" end of the monopole leg. Or could use a 3/8" to 1/4" adaptor. The ball head is also removable, using a 1/4" - so take note that if you want to swap heads that happen to use a 3/8" threaded hole, will need a 1/4" to 3/8" adaptor. The tagline says "2016 Upgrade Version". I have another Q666 tripod for a year now, different branding, and frankly I am not sure what the "upgrades" are when looking at them side by side. Unless someone can point out specific improvement points, best I can say is shrug off the lure of promised "upgrades" and just shop Q666 models that seem to have the best price. Before acceptance, I read the product page like any consumer, and base my own user reactions in reference to personal expectations.

So far I'm really surprised. It's a nice compacted size and light weight. The quality seems to be there for the money and it's very easy to open and close. . I will only use it for the reason it was made and that's to travel or a short hike. It would not make a good everyday tripod or for rugged use. It stand pretty straight, the center columns are tall and combined with it's light weight and the high center of gravity, it would not take much to knock it over, so don't leave it unattended for very long. My only complaint is I wish they had also put a foam sleeve on the Mono-pod leg so I don't have to worry where it when I want to carry the tripod extended over my shoulder, something else I would have no problem doing. Well worth the money.
