Finally, my Nikon D3100 camera acquired a battery grip that sits on it, as one. The delivery was quick, but spoiled the state of the package, and the product itself was not damaged. Thanks to the battery grip, the autonomy of the work and the comfort of controlling the operation of the camera have increased.

Superb item! High quality! The plastic near enough matches my Nikon D3200, the shutter button is crisp, the battery compartments holds 2 batteries and I will answer my on Amazon question, when both batteries are in, they are both being used at same time. Meaning there are metal terminals in each battery slot. Some CHEAP ones only HOLD one battery while the other is in use, this one isn't the case which is superb. Screw for it is knob on, real snug fit! I would say, first impressions it feels a bit "plasticy" when you get it out of box but soon as you slot batteries in and screw into DSLR it's feels as strong as the camera. Remember if your buying this, you've only got a entry level DSLR which is plastic bodied so there's no need for a bullet proof battery grip. So a round up... Fits perfectly, got all the right curves in all the right places! Feels great! Make's camera look more professional and lovely to hold for big hands! Excellent quality and work's seamlessly and yes you do need to use the cable to use the shutter button on the camera grip but this is due to Nikon not supporting their own batteries grip and software. However the cable fits perfectly and doesn't get in the way if you bend it correctly. thank you very much!

I was most worried about the grip not suiting my D3100 and looking like a dodgy add on, but the grip looks much better once it's on the camera - rather than the picture displayed online. The texture of plastic and rubber suit Nikon's style perfectly and the grip is well shaped to suit the camera body very very well. It feels very good to hold also - giving plenty of extra hold and much more room for someone with large hands. Also, since I've been using the grip ive found that large zoom lenses are much more comfortable to shoot with and the whole camera doesn't feel as unbalanced now when I use a heavy lense. The grip feels very sturdy and a much more solid build than I would have expected out of something for such a low price. I have read about the battery door not fitting properly and how it rattles around inside the grip, but I haven't had any problem with it as of yet and I've been using it more or less everyday for well over a month now. Also, some reviews on other battery grips talk about how short the shutter cable is and how it breaks with little force, however the shutter cable supplied with this particular grip seems to be a close to perfect fit, it does hang lose a very very slight amount, but it's definitely not enough to get in the way during shooting and it hasn't cause me any issues. The shutter release button on the grip works just as good as the one on the camera body itself, it doesn't have any delay or buffer issues at all. The grip is designed very well in terms of where the rubber is placed to give the best hold, and also the shutter release on the grip is placed out of the way when shooting landscape so that you won't catch it accidentally. When I ordered this, around Jan 1st, I was told that it would come for Feb 6th, however I recieved it on Jan 16th which was a nice surprise. Also, for anyone wondering, the grip does work perfectly with only one battery inserted, so if you're purley buying it for extra grip rather than battery life then there's no need to purchase an extra battery as well. All in all I would definitely recommend this grip over any other on the market for the Nikon d3100, d3200 or d3300 as there are absolutely no problems with it whatsoever
