    I needed a simple adapter to connect to my laptop which only has USB A connection. This adapter is great as it supports data and charging. It also does not block adjacent USB ports. Very happy with my purchase. Would and will buy again if the need arises.

    Since my laptop only has USB C ports, my storage devices are also "C". For convenience, I wanted to connect to my standard USB 3 hub to compare the data with other systems, in other places. This adapter is made well and has handled every task I've thrown at it.

    The adapter works great! When I cloned an internal NVMe M.2 drive to an external NVMe M.2 drive (in a USB 3.1 Gen 2 enclosure) using this adapter connected to a PC USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type A USB port the WRITE speed was 450 mega bytes/second as reported by a cloning application.

    I Can confirm that this adapter works for CarPlay with iPhone 11 Pro Max. If you’ve upgraded to the newest iPhone you wont be able to just plug the Lighting to USB C cable into your car and use CarPlay. You will need this adapter to be able to connect this to the USB Hub of your car.

    I use this adapter to convert a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A port to USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C as a power supply for my external monitor. It works beautifully! Supports at least 3 amps (otherwise my monitor wouldn't be working!) Good material and feels like a solidly constructed adapter. I wish there was a shorter variant but its length is likely due to the Gen 2 chip inside. I can confirm it operates USB 3.1 Gen 2 at full speed. I get over 700 MB/s read and write on my external drive.

    My laptop has only USB-C ports and my desktop has only USB-A ports which makes taking devices between them difficult at times. The Electop USB-C female to USB-A male adapter has let me plug my devices that only have a USB-C cable into my desktop when I've needed to. The adapter performs well easily reaching USB-3 speed and requires no extra drivers or effort when connecting devices. It's easy to find adapters that go from USB-A female to USB-C male, but not the other way around. Thanks selling this handy product!

    For whatever reason, the official Oculus Link cable does not want to work when plugged directly into my motherboard's USB-C port. I purchased this adapter and happy to report it works 100% with Link cable. My Quest also charges while using adapter, which was a pleasant surprise. I recommend this product for anyone looking to use Link cable and USB 3 port on motherboard.
