    So I bought this CD/DVD external player to play movies, record music CD's, copy pictures, burn home movies and copy data to DVD's. So far it seems to work with no problems.

    I have a computer that does not have an internal CD Drive. I purchased this item so that I could copy music from my computer onto a CD. It works great for that. It turned out that I also had some DVD's of family stuff that I wanted to copy and send to my children. It worked great for that too. I couldn't be happier.

    Very happy with this purchase fully consistent with the description. Absolutely compatible with my MacBook Pro which recognized it from the plug-in and did not require any installation or configuration because it was immediately usable. I wanted to save my old CDs in my Itunes library. Cable a little too short if you don't work on a table but on your knees, on the sofa like me.
