Its plug and go..if its not working check if your on a un controlled aux on receiver...if it is controlled make sure your radio is set properly to turn it on and page threw functions, if so and its still dark....its fried

i had to make holes in the body to get it mounted. I dont know about waterproofing. I hvnt tried in water or swampy areas. The build is decent and i assume they should do just fine in a damp area or just mild drizzle etc.

I would say that it is too large for 1/16 scale. You might cut it down but the size would look strange to me. Ron

Yes. They dont come right out and tell you but these are 4 to 6 volts. Most receivers have that voltage output.

The build quality is alright, the only complaints I have is that the threads in a couple of the holes stripped out. I had to put a nut on the other side for it to work. It's not the best material, but it works. I wouldn't mount it somewhere where it would get hit in the event of a rollover because it might break. The LED board can be easily flipped around if you want the wire coming out the other side. It's very bright, and I like the different modes. I currently have it mounted on the inside of my roll cage and it looks bad ass. Definitely worth the money spent.
