This is exactly what I payed for. It has great sound for a "cheap" ocarina. It came with a booklet of short songs ex: twinkle twinkle little star, a pink necklace strap, the nicely shipped ocarina, and a box with styrofoam. Forget what the negative reviews said. I know some people are complaining about the high notes, but all you have to do is blow harder. The ocarina looks exactly like it does in the picture so I don't know how you could go wrong with that. I also bought a Zelda song booklet to go with it. I've only been playing for 20 minutes and I've already mastered "Zelda's Lullaby" with good tone. DO NOT hesitate, it is totally worth your money. You can use this as an instrument and a decorative piece.

It's beautiful. It arrived late, but it was worth it. It looks exactly like the picture and mine came with a box that pictured it and Link playing it along with a songbook, and a cord to string it. It's a christmas gift so I can't say how it sounds, but I'll try to remember to update this. It's pretty enough and was cheap enough that I'm fine with it just being a show piece if he doesn't like the sound. My pictures don't do it justice. (The pen is to give an idea of the size.) Update: According to him it sounds like a recorder, but he hasn't tried much since he doesn't want to get saliva into it and let it get gross. (Would likely be difficult to clean as the inside is a raw white ceramic not finished like outside.) He was thrilled with the way it looks and that it's such high quality. It has a nice heft too since it isn't plastic. One of his favorite gifts this year.

I've had this for a few days now and after a bit of trouble in figuring out how to read 12hole ocarina tabs, I'm having a lot of fun with it. I've already learned how to play Zelda's Lullaby and Lon Lon Ranch/Epona's theme. It's not the highest quality Ocarina, but at a mere 16$ what can you really expect? For it's cost versus quality its quite good, and useful for any cosplay who needs a cheap but functional Ocarina. I may invest in a nicer ocarina down the line, but wanted a cheap one to test the waters and so far I'm having a blast.

Let me start off by saying that this is a beautiful instrument. The paint really shines and it's a good size. The color is a bit darker than expected, so it's not perfectly accurate to the game, but that's no big deal. There was a bit of paint chipped off upon arrival, not too noticeable. The quality of sound is not very stunning, but it does play notes and you can play songs on it with a bit of control and practice. Didn't come with instructions, so you're on your own to learn how to play 12 hole Ocarina. This was obviously designed for aesthetics more than tone, but overall a great gift, costume piece, or decoration, or just something to impress other Zelda fans. I am happy with the purchase and would recommend the product, and although it's by no means perfect, it's gorgeous.

This is a great purchase(IMO of course) sounds great, and learning to play great too. Comes with a booklet to play some songs like happy birthday and Marry had a little lamb, but you can easily look up now to play actual songs from the Legend of Zelda games, except the songs don't actually work, which I am a little disappointed in lol. But overall it is a great ocarina, if I could say one negative thing about it, it is a little heavy the string I came with, doest really hold well to wear around neck. Nonetheless great purchase and I am very happy!

I was afraid it would be broken or something but it arrived in perfect condition and in time. The ocarina is small, but beautiful, I love it. If you read other comments you'll notice the high notes might not sound very well, that the triforce might be not in place (mine is a little bit moved to the right) but, NOW LOOK AT THE PRICE. It's the cheapest Ocarina of Time you will find, it sounds ok and you can play the Zelda songs. It gave me goosebumps to play Epona's song or Zelda's Lullaby. I'm a Zelda fan and sadly, this is not for me. Is for a friend for his birthday but I'm sure he'll love it as much as I do. If I wanted a professional instrument I wouldn't go for something that costs 12$

I had a great experience with lpsmate getting my new ocarina to the shipping location. First of, It was supposed to arrive Yesterday but arrived 1 day after I bought it, I thought this was different for me personally, but other people had the same thing happen to them. Second, They email you to make sure nothing happened to the ocarina and If you need another sent to you so you can get to playing it. Third, The ocarina is very good quality for,I don't remember, about 10 dollars. Usually Ocarinas come with a large price tag, up to 1,000 dollars or more. Forth, It plays well, and that was my main goal to do. It is made out of porcelain or a clay substance of some sort...So it is delicate but is very sturdy. Now for advice before you just buy it and go "I can play this flute thing no problem" It's not a flute ....It's an ocarina...You might want to buy a book of 12 hole ocarina songs. The ocarina comes with some of course, but not many. You can also just look some up online or a tutorial or something....Also, My fingers are made for playing piano, I have artist fingers, but! It is tricky for me to reach the holes in the middle of the instrument, but don't give up! Your fingers will adjust to the instrument! Also...When I first was playing the songs on the ocarina (This is embarrassing) I thought you hold the bottom to holes All The Time....Those are like trigger keys on a French horn DON'T HOLD ON TO THE HOLES FOREVER (And that's why it took me so long to figure out the notes.

I ordered this Zelda replica Ocarina because my brother is a Zelda geek and he has been looking for one forever. Now, other reviews are saying that this product is not good at all, but I took a shot anyway and ordered it. This ceramic instrument came in a nice padded box so it was well protected. All the holes lined up nicely and the music that my brother can play with this is beautiful. It looks great and it sounds even better. It is a beautiful blue color and it had a gold ring around the mouth piece with the Zelda symbol. It came with a red neck strap and a black ocarina case. I would definitely say this is a decent Ocarina and my brother is happy with it.

A s a child, I wanted to learn a variety of instruments. Thus, I managed to acquire a few smaller ones that I could transport easily on my family's ranch. An ocarina was one of them. Just when I was learning how to make beautiful music with it, it broke because it was cheaply made. Now, I have this ceramic 12 Hole Legend of Zelda Ocarina. It has a wonderful weight and feel. The holes are neatly placed to make holding it easy. And it arrived to coincide with Tony getting his Legend of Zelda game for the Super Nintendo, so he was even excited about it. The music is very crisp and clear. There is no airiness to the sound and the notes are succinct. I do not know whether to keep it for myself and learn how to play all over again, or give it to my daughter as a gift so she can learn how to play it. This would be an excellent gift for a budding or experienced musician in your life. It is a wonderful instrument! Full disclosure: I was sent this product for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

I was kind of buying this as a little bit of a joke as my daughter was going into band and she was trying to think of an instrument that she would like to play and my teenage son kept telling her to learnt he ocarina because that would be so cool. She did even ask her band teacher if she could but of course lets be real, he said no. So I ordered one anyway for my son to see if he wanted to give it a go. He's not great at it yet but I scored some mom points for ordering this. It came with a little musical booklet so he does try.

So when I bought this I was a bit worried because of the other reviews this had such as the video. But it came in a padded box not one of those flimsy envelopes. I play guitar, clarinet, and bass guitar so I am musically inclined. First, the subholes where aligned just fine they were directly in front of the holes. It took me an hour or two to get the breath pressure but I can play low and high notes on tune without having to overblow the notes. It is tuned pretty well though I think the high c is a little flat but my tuner said it was fine. It also came with a dark blue neck strap not a green one but that might be random, and it came with a brown ocarina case. And as a final note, the mouthpiece wasn't crooked at all so maybe the guy got a bad seller. Great Buy!

I bought the ocarina for my little 5 year old sister. I read all the imperfections and honestly it doesn't really matter for me. I don't see my sister playing it all the time. It does what it needs to; makes noise, looks nice and really cheap (just $10 great steal). Its a really fun toy for my sister. I wouldn't recommend for people who want to make a hobby playing this though (I'm sure few of the notes are off key). So five stars from me since it did everything I would expect from a $10 ocarina.

When i ordered this, i was expecting something cheaply made and an overall loss of money. I ended up being completely wrong. The Ocarina was beautiful and very well made. the product came with the instrument itself, as well as a small "how to" sheet for playing basic notes and songs. I am still learning how to play songs and therefore cannot comment of the "how to" sheet. So far I am extremely satisfied with the purchase, especially because of the cost. I recommend this to anyone interested in learning how to play an Ocarina or anyone just trying to complete a cosplay outfit. 12 Hole Zelda Ocarina From Legend of Zelda Alto C OcarinaWind® 12 Hole Sweet Potato Ocarina Red Pottery Ocarina in Alto C

Got this as a birthday present for my son, and he completely freaked! So authentic looking! It came with a neck strap and it's ceramic so it's heavier than you'd expect. There was a booklet in the box (which was excellent, BTW) that shows finger placement and gave sheet music for little songs like "Happy Birthday to You". The only thing we were a little disappointed in was that there wasn't any sheet music for the ocarina theme. But hey, that's copyrighted, right? So we can understand that. Absolutely loved this. Cannot express the Ocarina Awesomeness!

I see the guy posting videos to all these Zelda replica ocarinas giving them bad reviews. Here is the knitty gritty.. He is an experienced player of Ocarinas. Of course novelty items like this are beneath him. If you want a master crafted musical instrument, don't buy a cheap novelty item. But still this novelty will impress you... Mine came very well packaged. He states his came in an envelope. Mine came like this: The ocarina was in a small decorated box filled with form fitted Styrofoam protecting the ocarina, and this box was inside a slightly bigger box filled with a lot of bubble wrap. This thing wouldn't break if it was thrown off a cliff. Next the quality. This ocarina is gorgeous. Simply beautiful. The sheen on the finish is awesome. And contrary to what has been said mine was in impressive tune. Sure not perfect, but this is a NOVELTY PIECE. You get what you pay for, and I think in this case you get a little more. Im sure you will look up the fingering to Zeldas Lullaby, learn to play it, and be impressed. Its not a master crafted instrument. It is a novelty item. And I am more than happy with what I bought. It was a valentines day gift for my wife who is obsessed with Zelda and she loves it!

So it's in great shape, and plays well. You just have to learn to channel your air to make it sound more in tune. It's fairly easy to play and well worth the money. I started playing music in 2006 when I was 12 years old I joined band, and I am 20 years old now. I know how to play multiple instruments, and I highly recommend this for someone wanting to learn to play. I suggest a recorder first so you can learn to channel your air up/down so you can reach those high notes and keep it in tune. Other than that it is in perfect shape, plays well, and sounds amazing.
