It's a really good product. One thing, what I can't resolve the firmware update. If I run the android app, and I would like a motion capture, the app show me that needs 1.6 firmware or above...To update the firmware not a complicated task, but I don't find the 1.6 firmware, so I can't use the motion capture. I am talking about this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkG9ACsCNtMI got a dpd tracking number, but finally the UPS delivered the product, so on the DPD site I couldn't track the shipping. The product has very good quality, it has fluid motions. Easy to use! I absolutely recommend it!

Absolutely amazing. I was impressed with the battery life. I took this on a trip to SouthEast Asia to shoot video and was able to make it through the full day, sometimes 2 days without recharging. I just powered off when not using. Video turned out so smooth. Very compact but heavy when holding for long periods of time. I found it very affordable considering it's capabilities. There were so minor glitches but easily resolved within minutes while I was out shooting. HIGHLY recommended, especially for Videographers.

This is not my first product that I've purchased at Tomtop. So far it has been hit or miss, but this one is totally a hit. The only small issue I have occasionally is that my camera is a bit on the heavy side and it occasionally will lose stability for a brief moment when I try to achieve certain camera moves. Regardless, totally worth the price. As far as trying to imagine what camera would work perfectly with this device, I'd suggest you check out the Sony a6000 or similar cameras (in terms of weight).

This thing is awesome! I mainly use it to film open dance floors at weddings with a Sony A6300 and Rokinon 12mm lens combo. Balance is perfect. No bumps or jitters or walking motion. Mind you my prior experience is using a Freefly Systems Movi M5, so I understand balance to a tee. I recommend you perfect balancing your camera on this gimbal prior to criticizing any off putting movements. Giving you different options such as inverted mode and every other mode listed in the product description. My only gripe is switching between modes. Just keep in mind you have to wait for the blue light to stop blinking before attempting to switch modes. I highly recommend this for travel as well. Can't wait to bring this with me everywhere.

This gimbal is the best bang for the buck. I have been a pro photographer (full time) since 1985, so I have invested in my fair share of equipment. Let's just say, I'm poor because of it (well, it feels that way). I began doing professional video work two years ago and finally decided to get a handheld gimbal. It was time. After much research, I chose to go with the Zhiyun Crane. Price was a major factor, but I have to tell you, the QUALITY is top notch as well. This thing is built like a tank and does the job perfectly. I'm still trying to master the best walking method in order to avoid bumping in the video, but there's only so much the gimbal can do. Just walk like a robot, nice and smoothly with your knees bent pretty far, and you should be good to go. The bad side of this is the next day, your glutes and legs will be sore as ever! lol. Once you learn the concept of getting your camera balanced, it's pretty easy to set up. I do wish they had a better way of attaching the camera to the gimble. I'm not crazy about that single screw, but I'm no engineer, so I guess it's the best way they can come up with. Other than that, I'm a huge fan of this gimbal. Don't waste your money on something far more expensive. This model will do what you need done for most simple projects.

The 3 axis gymbol is easy to balance and works really well! I can run with this thing and experience very smooth video. It is great for film makers who can't afford a DJI Ronan. BUT, you must have a very light weight camera and lens. My Sony a7s works very well with this, but I can only use my small 35 mm with this rig. I also find it easier to operate if you take off the extended battery pack on the camera (if you have one.) For the end result, if you have a small camera then this product is a very good buy.

After doing some extensive research about 3-axis gimbals for my Sony a6000, I settled on the Zhiyun Crane. I read and watched a lot of reviews, and I based my opinion on the reviewers that had used multiple gimbals, not just one. This gimbal is simply amazing. Great build quality, it comes with two sets of batteries that last for hours, it's tool less and very easy to setup. It also includes a mobile app that makes it a breeze to control, or you can purchase the bluetooth remote control as well. I'm very excited to create some new videos now that I've added this to my photo/video equipment.

Incredible gimbal unit for the money,.. for any money. No tweaking software, just balance and go. Right Side Motor so you can flip out your camera screen. Camera focus control, start/stop, etc. on bluetooth app with additional cable! (bolt to my 12ft jib and go.) Camera control cables are just starting to ship via Zhiyun resellers websites. Using Panasonic GH4, 12-35mm 2.8 and heavy fast primes like 25mm 1.4. Tripod stays on the cart for run & gun interviews now. I can't vouch for big dlsr's, but small to big mirrorless you're rock'n! Long handle thought to be a drawback, but after shooting inverted, it's a godsend with a table-top tripod attached, perfect for my 6'3" crouch for low-angle follow shots.

I've used the Zhiyun crane to film two weddings, and so far I think it was a good investment. I'm still learning the new workflow, but attaching a monopod to the bottom of the crane (it has the screw mount) has really helped since I primarily shot with a Manfrotto monopod before. Battery life is amazing and lasts a full day. It is surprisingly sturdy. Even if your camera isn't perfectly balanced, it won't struggle to keep it stable. I've also accidentally put the gimbal down for a minute when it was still turned on (thought I turned it off) - and there were no damage to the motors. Of course there's also the typical accidental dings you get when filming a reception in tight spaces. People knock into it, etc. The point is - it's very well built :) Fine tuning is possible through the app. The gimbal connects via bluetooth and allows for you to adjust the pitch and yaw speed, etc. This is definitely MUCH more inconspicuous than the Ronin, and that is perfect for me. I like to be a fly on the wall when I shoot and this thing is basically the same as the Manfrotto monopod. There is definitely less control than using a monopod alone. Stabilization is not perfect. Of course you get that bounce effect at times when you walk. But I've also noticed micro-jitters when trying to apply too many movements at once. For example, tilting my arm up while using the joystick to pan. When moving around with the gimbal there is a certain "look" to the video which I feel like gives it away that you're using a gimbal. Not that it's a bad thing, but unless you've had a lot of practice and are super stead, it won't replace the look of a slider or small jib. Another thing about the joystick - it's really difficult to set it perfectly. It either moves the camera too slowly, or too quickly. I wish there was a dial to quickly change the pan speed instead of using the app. There is a mode which (I think Mode 2) which basically just moves the cameras based on how you're moving the gimbal. I recommend this one for anyone trying to keep their workflow similar to a monopod. You can also adjust the speed of how quickly the gimbal reacts. It can be pretty much real time, but can also have a fluid drag behind your movements. Messing with the Joystick during the ceremony gave me too much anxiety. You just lose a lot of control. Anyway, I hope this helps.

ONE of the MOST important thing to a videographer besides the content that he or she is shooting....I hit the ground running with this thing, straight out the box its easy to put together just put the batteries into bottom half, screw it onto the top half screw in/balance the camera, then turn it on and your ready to go.... packaging was perfect, worked as described, came on time, very very very happy..................... SIDE NOTE....you will need an update but thats easy, its for the slight slanted horizon that happens but a 5-10min update will fix it and it comes with the wire to do the update

I just received the Zhiyun Crane and have been using it for a couple of days straight. First the pros: It's sturdy and everything else the other reviews have said are true. You will get amazing video from this gimbal and won't be disappointed. I won't go into the all the other pros as they have been addressed already but will post some video soon to show what I've been able to get out of this amazing gimbal. Now for the cons (with the caveat that I may have gotten a defective one). After balancing the gimbal and playing around with the device, I noticed one thing. 1. When the Crane is being rotated from right to left or left to right, the gimbal jerks vs. a smooth transition. This doesn't happen when I rotate it 360 from front to back. Thought this may be a balancing issue but I've balanced this thing countless on all 3 axis and the issue is still there. If I don't get a response I'll send this one back and get another one to see if it's just a QC issue. But I do want to stress, this is a terrific gimbal and is really solidly built.

Booooyy if this isn't one of the best investments I made into my camera career (a6000). If you're like me you probably did hella research on like 5 different gimbals, watched like 100 gimbal test videos on youtube and vimeo and are still trying to decide.. Well well well... this "zhiyun" truly is your answer. Quality, design, delivery... everything I possibly wanted. No difficulty calibrating, remote app controller is freaking awesome, buttery ass shots included (with good technique of course; Practice will go a long way), comfortable. I wasn't trying to carry no big ass Ronin everywhere... this is literally a portable version of a Ronin! Want the best bang for your buck, this is a excellent purchase.

The Zhiyun Crane gimbal is simply awesome. Best single-grip gimbal being sold, today. As with all gimbals, the trick to super smooth flying is practicing walking softly. The up-down, slight bounce from walking is really the only thing that shows in footage (common with all single-grip gimbals). One way to smooth this out completely is by using another product for stabilization, called "SteadXP+" (coming out in Oct/Nov 2016). Google SteadXP+ to learn how it can help give you perfect, smooth-floating footage with this gimbal. Also - I needed to order a couple extra thumbscrews (for my specific camera & gimbal setup) and received them promptly, in the mail. The customer service by the seller I purchased this from (Pergear) was fast & friendly. All in all...the Zhiyun Crane is a great product, sold by an great company.
