This is a very nice, rock solid, sturdy plate. Very secure when attached to the camera and to the ball-head, and having the extra screw-hole on the bottom means I can attach my Black Rapid strap to the plate itself instead of having to take it off the camera. Now there is one slight issue, and to be fair it's not actually an issue with the plate. But once the plate is attached to my Canon 6D the port for the shutter release gets blocked. It's an easy enough fix, just adjust the position of the plate to leave enough of a gap. Like I say, nothing to do with the plate as it is a "one size fits all" design and it would be unfair to mark it down for that, but thought it worth mentioning. Aside from that one point, I'd say it's definitely worth the money! Solid and secure and very very useful.

If you're looking for this item, you probably already know that the L-plate is one of those simple photographic accessories that makes life that much easier. It's really great to setup vertical shots quickly, specially for landscapes and to shoot panoramas maintaining a consistent axis - comparing it with turning the camera 90º using the ballhead. Now, it's also recommended that you get a L-plate made specifically for your camera, and avoid universal ones like these. As I have a Canon 80D and the only L-plate made for it would cost more than 5x as this one, I decided to risk it. It works as it should; you just have to keep in mind that, in the case of the 80D, you won't be able to flip the screen the full 180º or access the HDMI/USB/headphone/mic side ports with this plate mounted. Importantly though, you can still get to the remote shutter port in the 80D at least. You can still turn the screen around, just not move it as freely. If you're shooting vertical anyway you're likely not filming yourself, so it's not a big deal. Likely it'd be too small for FF cameras.

Very pleased with this Andoer bracket and handgrip for my X-E1. The fit and finish is good, all the hex bolts tighten nicely, and access to the battery door works well. I don't understand what the plate opposite the grip is for, but it is optional and I have removed it. The product adds a little to the height, width and weight of the camera. For my medium size hands the enhanced grip is perfect, and I can hold the camera steady at lower speeds than I can without the grip. ( I use the X-E1 with legacy Olympus lenses - right hand uses the grip, left hand goes round the lens adapter).

Attached this to my X-E2, played around a bit and decided that it was never coming off! Great value. Solid build and good finish - fits like a glove - good grip shape. Everything is accessible and nothing is obstructed (including the camera strap). In very hot weather the smooth grip might not be ideal in sweaty hands - I've no idea - 'though I doubt if it would be a significant.problem. The extra grip and weight transforms the camera handling, and being able to attach it directly onto my tripod ball-head is an added bonus, as I work a lot on it and I have to change to portrait mode fairly often. Very pleased.

Well basically it is a neat looking "L" bracket allowing fast swapping of the camera from portrait to landscape mode and back again however, I have to agree with some other comments. If fitted to the Andoer quick release plate it fits perfectly. Try it on other "Arca" style plates ( like the Pig Iron brand) and the landscape mode bracket will not lock on the slide. Portrait bracket fits perfectly. Also be aware that there is only one captive screw on each of the slides - when the clamp is released the camera CAN slide out in one direction with possible disastrous consequences. The supplied "D" ring tripod screw is another pain. The finger ring hands down and impedes the sliding of the plate in the quick release plate - you have to reach in with a finger tip to assist it through to adjust.

good quality product. compatible with arca swiss tripod head (i own a markins) fits really nice and easily on the fuji x-t1 the doors for the memory card and usb cable are not affected (2 minor for me) flaws: 1)the plate prevents the battery door from opening. you have to loose the screw a little bit in order to allow the door from opening. 2)the screen will only come out from the upper side.the plate somehow blocks it from downside and it will not flop. well-worth money spend (from my point of view), if you don't want to go for the original fuji or markins or reallyrightstuff product

GREAT,pretty good for the price. this is a pretty good "L" bracket for the money. I'm going to compare this $12.00 "L" bracket with the next step up: (A $40.00 Desmond bracket.) I'm not even considering the high priced "Gucci Type" brackets - They are waaaaay beyond my modest budget. 1. THE DOCOLLER BRACKET: I first bought this $12.00 plate because it was cheap. After I tried it out I decided that having a safety stop screw at only one end of the dovetails might be a bit dangerous (danger of having a camera slide out). In every other way it worked just fine. The dovetails fit every one of my Arca/Bogan clamps. By mounting the vertical component on the left side of my Nikon D600 camera and leaving a bit of a gap between the plate and the left side of the camera I was able to access the Mini USB port, without removing the "L" bracket. The bracket is sturdy and well made............ Still, not having safety stop screws at BOTH ends of the tracks troubled me. If this plate had safety stop screws at both ends of both dovetail tracks, I would have given it 5 stars. 2. Seeing that the Desmond "L" Plate had safety stop screws at BOTH ends of the dovetail I decided to buy it. THE PROBLEM - No matter how much you fiddle with the mounting there is no way to access the Mini USB port, for downloading your photos, without removing the bracket completely. (A real pain, since you have to find the Allen wrench (supplied) to effect this.) I was DISAPPOINTED - The Desmond "L" plate for $40.00 is only so so, (compared to this $12.00 Docooler® Universal MPU100 Quick Release L Plate). Personally, I DO NOT think it's worth the extra $28.00. 3. Other, more expensive plates? I'm just a weekend photographer and I see no reason to pay $135.00 (and upwards) for a dedicated "L" bracket that may or may not work any better. If I were a super serious amateur or a pro? Sure, I would spend the money. But the (Docooler® Universal MPU100 Quick Release L Plate) works just fine for the occasional times I need one and (unlike the Desmond) I can access the ports on the left side of my camera. I just have to pay attention and watch that my camera doesn't slide out of the clamp. Bottom line? I plan to send the Desmond one back and keep this $12.00 "L" bracket. iF YOU HAVE THE MONEY TO SPEND - By all means, buy one of the "high end" brackets that are specifically engineered to fit your camera. After all, you spend upwards of $3,000.00 for a great camera and lens, you certainly don't want to dump it on a concrete floor. I hope this review helps you. Update, Aug. 3, 2014: I liked my first "L" bracket so well that I bought a 2nd one for my other camera. UNFORTUNATELY, the 2nd bracket will not fit into my Arca-Swiss compatible clamp. It appears that it is milled just a tiny bit too wide to fit my clamp. I believe this my be due to a tolerance mismatch between the bracket and the clamp. Recommend it.

Andoer® Vertical L Plate Bracket & Hand Grip for Fuji X-E1 X-E2 Fit Arca Swiss RRS QR I can only endorse the good reviews that other purchasers have given of this product. I've only dropped a star because I had problems with the attachment screw which didn't fit smoothly in the camera (X-E1) which is odd as I've used it on another application with no problems. I bought a replacement tripod screw and it all fits together very well now. I don't know if I will leave it on the camera as it does add a bit to the bulk. BTW the grip is easy to use with my small hands and the Arca quick release flanges make attaching it to my tripod very easy.

Solid and well-made. Grip makes more of a difference than I would have thought on my X-E2, and I much prefer it (had an X-E1 for 3 years without one). This doesn't obscure any hatches, spares the camera's own tripod-bushing from wear-and-tear and provides a degree of protection - if the camera was dropped, for instance, and when hanging from a shoulder strap. It is also possible, with the tripod-bushing being further over, to gain access to battery/memory compartment without removing it from the tripod. The bracket is all-metal, not at all heavy ( I removed the left-side section, so lighter still ) and the screws seem to be of good quality steel, although take care with the somewhat soft allen keys supplied. The L bracket element of the design allows the camera to be mounted both horizontally and vertically on Arca and, crucially given the prices, Arca-style heads (I bought an add-on plate to convert my tripod head for this). The arrangement is simple and elegant. Some reviewers seemed not to know what the left side was for - it is for vertical tripod mounting, portrait style. Improvements? Grip itself could be larger still - quite alot larger, actually - and it is, as observed elsewhere, bare metal, and not rubberised in anyway, although with a little imagination this could easily be remedied. If the tripod-bushing was a little further over than it is, and nothing really prevents that, then access to battery and memory card could be virtually guaranteed regardless of your tripod head/mounting arrangement. Some have complained that access to the battery/card hatch is narrowed to the point where it is problematic, but I have big hands and do not find it so. Nothing about this device feels cheap or second-rate. In my opinion, for £17, it is an absolute steal.
