Look at the propellers and see if it push down pull on them and if that doesn't work turn off the controller and qoud then turn it back on and calibrate it on a flat surface hope this helps

Yes, to perform a flip, press the right stick down and move the stick in any direction. For example: pushing up will make the H8 Mini perform a forward flip.

I believe the propellers just pull off. They are on very thight.

Yes, but it's piss-poor quality. it flies straight ahead in the direction it's pointed in, unless it's in headless mode.

With mine, which is a different model, the light goes on when fully charged. I would leave it plugged in no matter and see what's happening in a few hours, charged or not. The usb port must be active, (computer or whatever turned on).

If it spins even without the transmitter, and it is only motor, that sounds like a classic failure mode of MOSFET transistors used to control motors on devices like these. This won't be a visible short but rather one inside the transistor's casing, though there may be heat damage to or in the area of the transistor. RC hobbyists with a bent towards tinkering can replace these (it does require some skill) so if it's too old to return you could try trading it to someone who might be able to repair it or else use it for spare parts. see less

FPV refers to Video camera that transmit Video feed to the lcd screen that it comes with and attachable to the transmitter. Idea in to see where the drone is heading even if the drone is not Visible from where you are controlling from. Be advised, range is ... 100ft ish

This is probably the best-flying toy-grade quad I've yet seen. The transmitter is slightly larger than that of something like a CX10 so a better fit for adult hands, while the removable battery means the lifetime won't be tied to the service life of the supplied cell. One can readily buy compatible cells from many sources, but always verify the polarity is the same before connecting, and it is generally a good idea to let motors cool for a few minutes after flying a whole battery. Two things that make this really stand out are the built-in prop protector light enough not to reduce flight performance, and decision to make both the airframe and props out of a more flexible plastic that can better absorb impacts (unfortunately, you only get two spare props instead of the traditional four, but they may last enough longer to excuse that). With the prop guard gentle wall impact will usually just bounce off rather than meaning crashes, and the guards are just high enough that you can actually fly it up and stick it to a ceiling. When parked on the ceiling the props end up so close that you can then reduce the throttle quite far before it falls off (beware that when it does come off you will need to throttle back up to keep flying!) An absolute beginner may find that while stable the quad may drift a little bit in a hover requiring correction - in other words, a little skill must be developed so it is not a toy for a young child or one who will become quickly frustrated - but this is far tamer (and infinitely more mistake-survivable) than any RC helicopter of 10 years ago. And for the capable pilot, it can maneuver quite aggressively, especially with the transmitter in high rates. While the transmitter size is nice, the plastic it is made of is quite cheap in appearance. More seriously, it shares a flaw of some other far east electronics in that the design of the plastic molds for the battery compartment were made by someone who assumed your AAA cells will have a slightly taller bump on their positive terminals than some US brands (notable Duracell) actually have. This can mean the transmitter fails to turn off or randomly cuts out. Cheap store-brand AAA's may fit better, but another fix is to take out the batteries and break off a bit of toothpick behind each of the positive contacts to push it closer to the battery. Finally it should be mentioned that while this is sold and intended as a ready to go package (just add transmitter AAA batteries) the hobby RC community on sites like rcgroups has figured out both how to send compatible control signals from more precise hobby-grade transmitters, and how to replace the flight control firmware of the quad itself.

Great for learning but is now malfunctioning. The drone is pretty responsive and taught me the controls pretty quick I did buy this drone for the same purpose learn to fly at low cost Sad after 10days of use now it just drifts very steeply in one direction hence the lift fails noticed one rotor to be poor in revs If it doesn't improve after a recharge will send it back Noticeably the rotor guard is very close to the rotor and because of plastic parts and hits once in a while the guard and rotor touch each other at high rpms , should be designed better Update: After requesting for a return they gladly understood the situation and instead sent a new one The new one was working very well But then within a few days on experimenting I find that on swapping the battery of the old to the new, the new one gives me the same problem. After a few more days and I notice that the old battery does not charge anymore So the rotor not spinning properly is to my conclusion a poor battery voltage situation Considering it is pretty new less than a month and the battery fades away implies a quality issue to me. But yes thanks to the great customer service

For the money you can't beat these little guys and, as an experienced UAS flyer, I recommend them but: Upside - low price, steady flyer, wonderful inside flyer, easy to store, easy to take with you. I am getting 6 minutes of flying time which is more than published by the manufacturer. Downside - The red LED's are at the front of the craft. This is opposite of all other drones so be prepared to learn how to ignore them as heading indicators if you fly other drones. Ignoring the LED's will be easy as they are not too bright. The predictable controller range is 30 feet but sometimes you can go 60 feet so that is why I said it is a wonderful INSIDE flyer. The batteries are very sensitive to charging at too high of an amperage (I ruined 2 batteries) so only charge them on your PC and if you can figure out which is your USB2 (.5 amp) port use that over your USB3 port (1amp). I used a 5 amp charger and they swelled up (my bad ... I knew better). Suggestions - Buy two of these and some extra batteries and propellers. That way you can fly with a friend or have longer flying times. If the motors feel warm after you fly let them cool down before more flying. After a crash be sure to check the propeller guards and the battery connection to make sure they have not bent into the path of the propellers. Just bend them back if they have. Safe flying ... dronepilot13

This is my first foray into the world of quadcopters/drones, so I don't know how this little guy compares with other similar products, but it has been a lot of fun to fly it around. The instructions are a little hard to decipher, being that it is written in very poor English, but flying the drone is pretty straightforward. It will take a while to get used to flying, but that is to be expected. You have to be constantly adjusting while you fly, to prevent the drone from flying into the ceiling or crashing to the ground. but once you get the hang of it, it is tons of fun to fly. It only took me about 2 days (flying around 20 minutes a day) until I could fly confidently. Even though it has guards for the propellers, I do recommend getting replacement props (I got these, which work great: 12 pcs Original RC Part JJRC H8 Mini CW/CCW Propellers for RC H8 Mini Quadcopter with RC Battery Bandage ). I also got a replacement, larger capacity battery: http://www.amazon.com/Upgrade-Battery-Eachine-H8-Quadcopter/dp/B012FSWNAY?ie=UTF8&redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_25 One problem you may encounter while flying, is that if you crash face down, or fly too fast into the ceiling, one or more of the propellers may get "jammed" onto the motor shaft, making it more difficult to turn, which will result in uneven flight. To fix this, just pull on the propeller to give it some room by the bottom of the shaft, so it will spin smoothly and won't rub on the surface below. In short, great little product for the price, so far, pretty durable and tons of fun to fly.
