This reminds me of the cutting glove we use at the restaurant. Sturdy yet comfortable. And not heavy at all to use.

These Stainless Steel Mesh Gloves are terrific. I feel so safe now, when I am cutting meat, etc. One other customer, who purchased these, said he uses a Food Handlers Glove over the Mesh Glove, so I tried doing this and it works out fine and also keeps the Mesh Glove clean. I will not cut anything, unless I am wearing these gloves. I highly recommend them !!!!

I am wearing this glove as I cut fabrics with a rotary cutter. It is big even though I purchased the XSmall size, but I do not mind as I have peace of mind. It is easy to put it on and take it off, and I do it as needed to cut and trim fabrics as I sew them. It arrived faster than I originally expected.

This was a gift for my husband. He measured for a large per description, but large was super-large. He would have needed a medium. Returned it and haven’t re-ordered yet.

The X-small fit like I expected to. I'm 5' but have wide hands, and this was wide enough. The fingers were very long, though, but they always are on gloves for me! It doesn't usually pose much of a problem when I wear another glove over it. So far so good for the money!

This glove is very comfortable. I can not finish it If this is my intention, I could pierce myself, even though most of my knives do not have enough points to do it. I accepted the critic's suggestion and bought a size according to my size: I have a medium hand according to your table, but "small" is very adequate. Do not put a fist when using these gloves, as your hands will ache in the future.

Still, I wrote this review to help with the fit. My hand is a bit strong and fits in medium size. I don't know the details of other sizes, but I hope this will help you better choose the right size. Let me introduce you to me now. Now, because I am lazy, I only measured my middle finger (3 1/4 inches in length and 3 inches in circumference), thumb (2 1/2 inches in length, 3 1/4 inch in circumference) and The palm of the hand (4 inches wide, 9 1/2 inches perimeter) The construction worker's tape measure so these are rough estimates. Now, when the glove arrives, I can't put my hand in it. I have to cut out 5 metal rings to widen the gap on the little finger side of the glove with some wire cutters before my hand fits. If you have a better idea, my method works, but it will also slightly damage a pair of wire cutters. If your finger length is greater than the length of my finger, I recommend it bigger because I can hardly make a fist with a glove. I have a moderate size again.

I got this because I often use a Microplane box grater, which will take the skin off your hand so neatly you won't know it until suddenly you see blood. Now, I'm not willing to give up that grater, because it also makes grating food nearly effortless. So after several unfortunate and painful incidents, I decided it was time to armor myself. You should know that many more affordable "kitchen gloves" that claim to help you avoid cuts/scrapes are basically fierce-looking garden gloves, which will shred easily against a grater, or let a knife slice right on through to your finger. Those gloves are fine for preventing exposure to foods that may irritate your skin, or maybe for working with hot items without burning yourself, I don't know. But they will NOT help you prevent accidents while chopping or grating. This was the least expensive glove that was real actual chain mail, yet I find the quality terrific. I have not had so much as a nick since I began using it. It's extremely flexible, so my hand doesn't feel bulky or clumsy and I have full control over fine motions. And it's a cinch to clean, which really surprised me. The first time I used it was for grating cheese, and of course the glove ended up caked with a thin film of ingrained cheese. Not so much that I felt it was wasting cheese, just enough to make me sigh over the cleanup task ahead. Well, after the meal I returned to the kitchen and found that if I put on the glove and simply used the other hand to scrub it with a soapy scrub brush for about 30 seconds, it came clean easily. The next time I grated cheese, I laid the glove aside and actually forgot about it until the next day - and found it was even easier to clean because the cheese had dried overnight and the grains simply fell away, making that soapy scrub even quicker. Others here have said it can go in the dishwasher, and I haven't tried that, but I wouldn't be surprised, because it does seem to be real, quality stainless steel, not a cheaper, less durable metal. I must add my voice to all warning that the sizes run really, incredibly big. I looked at the sizing recommendations and wasn't sure whether to get the small or the X-small. In the end I went with X-small and it's still way bigger than my (average woman's) hand. I love this glove and if I need another I'll definitely order this one again, but I'd probably go for the XX-small next time!
