I've played with this device using 2 Nikons and it appears to do everything I expected it to do. I have yet to try long term time lapse but my intent was for some short term time lapse, such as over several hours. I have used it to trigger other devices, such as wireless flash and/or camera triggers and that could be a possibility in the future, but for now it does what I wanted it to do. I know a lot of people mentioned the need for an off switch, which this does not have. I will see if sitting around for some time without being used will drain the batteries.

I've been using this Voltrox Intervalometer for some time now. I use it for my night photography timelapses and it works like a charm. I haven't found an intervalometer anywhere else that can beat this price and it performs just as described. This product allows you to set how long the shutter is open for, the delay in between taking photos, and the number of photos that you want it to take. Without it, I wouldn't be able to take star timelapses, so for that I'm extremely grateful. I highly recommend getting yourself one of these. It poses a great tool for beginners and/or intermediate to advanced photographers.

Comes with a coiled removable cable with a 90 degree bend on the end that connects to the intervalometer, useful if the camera connector breaks though the version I got seems robust. Doesn't have an on/off switch so the batteries have to be removed if the remote won't be used for a long time. Works in Aperture, Shutter priority and Manual modes. Works as a shutter release when the batteries are out. You don't need to have batteries in to trigger the camera shutter in order to avoid blurry shots. I did get tripped up since I had my camera set to have AutoExposure locked when the shutter was half pressed. This prevented the camera from changing the aperture settings in Shutter priority mode so my shots were overexposed as the light got brighter.

Works great with my Canon EOS 6D after I got the Canon cable for it (originally used it on a Nikon.)

Works great! Seems a little bit too plastic and weak. Something is loose on the inside and it sounds

Extremely simple to use and works absolutely perfectly. Nothing else to say! Comes with AAA batteries, simple to plug in. Only issue, I'd say, is the cord, at about 6 inches long it dangles. Longer cord would be nice. Simple use : Set how long until it starts, how many pics, how long for each (can set in camera, just change to 00:00:00 and set in camera instead of bulb) and how often each pic is taken. All of these can be in increments of 1 second.

Only downside is that the intervalometer doesn't have an on-off switch....easily taken care of by removing one of the batteries prior to storage. This item works perfectly, completely as advertised, and is wonderfully inexpensive.

Ordered this item before I headed out on a backpaking trip in Glacier National Park so I could photograph the night stars. Worked great!! Very easy to use, has a convenient LCD backlight when needed and you can set a number of different options. The only draw back I feel is that it doesn't have an off switch. I just took the batteries out when not in use.

This was a great timer for time lapse etc. Had a very solid, metal/glass feel to it. Unfortunately one drip onto a tile floor was all it took to take it out of the game. Cant fault it for that as it certainly wasn't intended to be abused. Having had several in the past before it and one since it it did seem a bit less than the others as far as toughness and longevity. Still a good product.

I just put the batteries in and this worked on my Nikon D3200. Although my camera's shutter did not release a 2nd time on the intervalometer setting when I had the camera setting on "shutter priority." Perhaps it had to think too long. Anyway, I readjusted the settings to all "manual" on my camera. Then it worked fine. Am looking forward to having more fun with this. Seems worth the price, considering there are a lot more expensive ones out there that apparently do the same thing.

Just to confirm - if you've ever used this type of intervalometer before they are literally all the same model. This is no different, works like the rest of them.

I wish the LED box would light up. When using at night to take timelapse astrophotography I need a light to set it and check on it. Other than that it worked fine on my Nikon D3300 to take multiple shots per my settings. Also the battery never shuts off so that is another annoying feature. So if you don't want the battery to die then you need to take it out. Other than that it does what it is supposed to do.
