Questions & Answers
There is no external power port on this flash.

I bought it as a cheap backup to my SB910. It works well enough but I have found the output uneven and inconsistent. Keep it as back up but I would have a lot of trouble recommending it for anything.

Yes, I have a Nikon D610 and D7000, and I use wireless Yongnuo YN622-TX with YN622 receivers, set the remote flash to TTL and I have full control over the flash in both TTL and manual modes from the TX unit. Hi-speed sync works at 1/4000 and at 1/8000 shutter speed works great too

Instructions are easy to understand. If not, then by all means, try YouTube.

It should work fine in manual mode. I wouldn't know on iTTL since I work with a F3 & D3300.

I don't know how pocket wizard tt5 & mini tt1 works, but if they can work properly with any nikon flash Meike is going to work good too.
By Nestor Jaen on March 10, 2018
Yes.. it will work with just about any Nikon DSLR that I know of.

The Meike 910 flash is really close to the SB 910. Probably has the capability to work off camera, but high speed sync hasn't even been offered on Nikon cameras since the D70.

MEIKE Speed Light for Nikon: I purchased a MEIKE MK910 Speed Light. It’s a Nikon SB910 knock off. It preforms as advertised. I am really loving this Speed Light. Some of the customer write up’s said they had some problems with some of the features. I have not. I was really impressed how well it worked with the Nikon CLS (creative lighting system). It worked perfectly when I set up my pop up flash as commander and set up with my SB700, SB600 and the MK910 as remote flash units. It worked perfectly. It also goes into slave mode with either TTL or manual. So it is very easy to use this Speed Light off camera. The repeat flash function is amazing. Works really well in either TTL of Manual. Its build quality is very good. Also, it is lighter than my SB750. The cost was 103 dollars compared with the price of the SB910 which is just a little under 600 dollars new. If there are any flaws I can live with them. I also like that the zoom range goes out to 180mm. My SB750 only zoom to 85mm. I really like the extra reach. Just thought some of you might want to take a look at this Speed Light. I think if my testing continues in the way it is so far, I am gonna buy a couple more

I tested this Flash In 2 wedding already and is good, almost great. What I like: -FP Sync (high speed sync) works perfectly, tested on d610 up to 1/4000 and d7100 up to 1/8000. -Controls of the MK900 are laid out like those on the Nikon SB910. -Look expensive, solid contruction better than my Yong nuo and close to nikon. I am impressed. -Great Screen very similar to Nikon SB910 -The head has no lock but stays in position. I actually like this better for quickness of operation. -lock hotshot lever as good as nikon's. -TTL performance: I Used it mounted on a Phottix Multi 5-In-1 Nikon Receiver Stratos ll pass through mode and works good ( underexposes a little but no a problem) What can be better: -It overheats too quickly, even without FS sync (after around 30 consecutive strobes) makes a beep sound and stops working, batteries feel hot. It happened during both receptions I had to swap it for other speed light while it cooled. My budget Yong nuo does not have this problem. I'm not sure if other people have this issue or is just my unit. PLEASE LET ME KNOW if you test it (It takes around 30 shots to happen). -The Battery Meter is not really accurate but at least give you and idea. -Af assist light is the "laser type" It is sometimes hard to focus in darkness (Similar to YN). -Manual Mode: If you are looking for manual mode, interface is not the best, changing power involves pressing a button and rotating a wheel but there are no labels to show what to do. If you are mostly using it on manual would recommend Yongnuo YN560II or YN560IIl 3.5 stars, I am impressed, best Looking budget flash I have seen. MeiKe created a great product. If it wasn't for the overheat problem It could be a true first party replacement. I'm hoping for an updated version.
