By Javier on March 18, 2018
I only tested it on D7000 and D750 cameras. It works as advertised.

I have a Nikon D7100 and I haven't tried HSS yet using Nikon CLS. HSS works great using Yongnuo YN 622TX and Yongnuo YN 622N triggers (I prefer the triggers as I don't have to reset the flash settings when moving back and forth from the hot shoe and off camera, or between the D7100 and the D5100 for off camera. Recently, I recently acquired the Nikon D5100 which I prefer using over the D7100 because it's much lighter to carry around (however the D5100 has no CLS, Yongnuo YN 622s to rescue again, off camera works great, although the D5100 does not do HSS. I've done around 300 shots so far, Ive been holding off on any reviews to see how long it works, but for $63:00? I like the flash much better than my Nikon SB600. So far the flash has stayed on the D5100. Also don't order a tupper-ware diffuser as one comes with it see less

I just tested it using a pair of Yongnuo YN 622 triggers and works with both 1/4000 and 1/8000

With this flash, you get a very good TTL , two slave modes to help you get creative with curtain sync, a great adaptive zoom, bounce card, and wide angle diffuser. Additionally, it comes with a built-in wireless receiver, allowing you to trigger the flash off camera without shoving an additional piece of equipment on it! All in all, this is a WONDERFUL flash at the price. It's great to see so many options for full function, powerful, aftermarket flashes.

I was so impressed with this product! It worked seemlesly and perfectly with my Nikon D7000. I was working in a small room, and bounced off the ceiling. The photos were great - no washed out colour, or blown highlights. I am far from a professional photographer, but I have long been a hobbyist. What I like about this flash is that it zooms with your lens, it has a nice bright LCD display, the 4 x AA batteries lasted 4 hours of shooting (over 500 photos) without a single complaint, it had a really fast recharge time, and it also looks very well made. I also enjoyed using the built-in white card. The hot shoe mount is mostly metal, and rock-solid when camera mounted. The TTL feature (through-the-lens) makes sure that your flash is metered to what the Nikon camera wants, not the light sensor on the flash. Very cool!

I bought this for use with a Nikon D7000 which support HSS. The good news is that it works well on the camera in I-TTL mode. HSS works well and looks like it will on the D7000. The flash is sufficiently well integrated that on the camera it will show the focal length of the lens in use if you zoom the lens within range of the flash (24 to 105mm I think) it will show the zoomed focal length too. The flash recharges quickly so multiple shots are not a problem. You can also use in it manual mode triggered from the camera and reduce the power from full power down to 1/128 in powers of two. I've never owned a Nikon Speedlight so I can't make quality comparisons between them, but the flash seems quite well built and is way cheaper than the equivalent Speedlight. The flash does everything I need it to do now but has all the features I'm likely to need in the future too.
