Kundenfragen und Antworten

What is the scale length for this neck? I assumed it was 25 1/2 inches, but that appears to be incorrect based on my intonation issues.

  • Mine is 25 1/2 . I would contact the seller and we if you can get a new one

is the neck profile thickness (from fretboard to back of neck) closer to a squier or a made in mexico fender?

  • neither, this is a metric rendition... an asian model that doesn't even fit the strat standard heel dimensions. you've been warned.

By cheeswisz on April 8, 2018

neck shape???? you have in soft v shape?

  • no it's definitely a chunky c

Will it be difficult to add string guides on this neck?

  • No its not too bad but you will need machine heads/tuners. You'll also need a small drill bit to pre drill the holes to attach the machine heads. I had little to no problems with this neck but the frets extend a little over and they're sharp. Buy a file for those and you'll be golden.

Can you put this on a squier mini?

  • Measure from the bridge to the nut. The scale length has to match to use this neck. Also, the neck pocket may have to be enlarged for proper fit.

is this right or left handed?

  • Tricky. If you are a right handed player you fret with you left hand lol. This is a right handed neck...and for the price, a good one! I smoothed the fret ends prior to fitting to the body. It performs well and is good looking.

By Harvey J. Whitehead on June 20, 2017

is this right or left handed?

  • Right-handed. A standard (right-handed) headstock places the tuning knobs in an upright direction (when held in a playing fashion). For a specifically left-handed neck, look for one where the headstock places the tuning knob holes on the right side (if the neck is pictured with the headstock at the top).

What is the fret size?

  • Not 100% sure the numbers on it but it’s the same size as my made in Mexico Stratocaster

This is a good quality replacement neck. For those of you who are not sure what that means, here is a quick overview. On my neck, the truss rod was installed correctly, the tuner holes were aligned and drilled straight, the fret markers were good, and the finish was consistent. The frets needed to be leveled and dressed, and the plastic nut is cheap. To put this in perspective, i have bought necks from most of the big builders including Warmoth, Mighty Mite, and Fender. Every one of them required the same amount of work that this neck needed to be functional. So your $300 Warmoth finished neck will also need the frets leveled and dressed, and the nut installed and adjusted properly. This neck is a steal at under $40!!!! I have put it on a les paul bolt neck telecaster, and the guitar resonates and sounds great. To show that i put my money where my mouth is, i also purchased 2 more of these necks for future projects.

I give it 4 star because about 4 fret was a bit higher then the rest so I have to lever them and then crawn them. If you know how to do this it won't be a big deal. For this price I can't really complain compared with the 200 dollar for the one from fender company. Other then this the neck was deliver fast and with no damesh it all. If you buying this neck to upgrade your fender squire like I did, be aware that this neck it's about a 1/8 thicker and you are gonna have to do some trimming to make it fit in the body. Not sure if this apply to all fender squire but it did for mine wish is a fender squire 2 1990. Good luck!

You will have to shape the heel to fit the pocket, of course, that should be expected with any replacement neck. Also, there are a couple of high frets causing buzz on mine. This too can be remedied fairly easily. The frets above 18 or so start getting slightly jagged, but I don't typically play that high so its not a big deal for me. This neck did give me more sustain and improved the overall tone. It really brought out the low end like I hoped that it would. The only other thing is that I will eventually replace the nut that came on it with a better one. Finally, I would recommend it to anyone wanting to replace a Squier neck, but the neck on my MIM is much better than this(in terms of finish and fret work), and I wouldn't even think about putting it on anything more expensive than that.

My neck just got here today. Great price and on time shipping. Now, what about the neck itself? Well, It's straight and well finished with no frets sticking out or being sharp. Running my hand up and down the neck it feels as good as any neck I've had. I'm going to have to fit it to my neck pocket, but that's not unusual. The guitar I'm putting this on is very good with top notch electrics and an excellent finish. Not some crumby looking road-worn frankencaster. This neck matches the body in terms of quality and feel very well. So if you need an inexpensive neck, this is for you.

Only complaint is the shells for the fret markets have 0 color or shine unlike the shiney colored shells as depicted.

Fairly happy with the neck. It was a little too flat and I've loosened the truss rod to get a little relief. Still had to run string height a bit higher than I like in order to keep the first several frets from buzzing. Hoping the loose truss rod will allow the neck to bow a little more over time and I can adjust the setup to be a little faster. Fret finish better than I expected.

Not what i was hoping for fret board was flat at bottom not carved so i have to shape bottom of fret board to the shape of a strat and its also not a tight fit so it will do the job with a little modifying
