I don't think so. I think you just have to hope they have your TV in the catalog on the remote app.

Yes it will and it will have your TV on there list of TVs but just to let you know there was kind of a little bit of Hoops you gotta jump through to get that receiver to work you have to scan a QR barcode and download the app which is not Play Store it is a third party app and it's going to all be in Japanese but still… see more Yes it will and it will have your TV on there list of TVs but just to let you know there was kind of a little bit of Hoops you gotta jump through to get that receiver to work you have to scan a QR barcode and download the app which is not Play Store it is a third party app and it's going to all be in Japanese but still able to read in English basically if you want to deal with little issues like that then its worth it but I don't see other things on the market that you can plug into a tablet or phone to make it have an IR blaster to change TV channels see less

The IR device works like a charm as long as you have proper OTG support. You can set ZaZa remote to automatically fire up when you plug this in. Never had issues with the IR stops working at all. I rent a small Townhouse so I cannot comment on range. 12' worked fine. The ZaZa remote app software works but is lacking some of the bells and whistles. When trying to detect an unknown device (in this case my 1 DVD player) I cycled past the test that worked, #114. There is no back so I had to start over and click power then this did not work 113 times again. I still need to figure out the macro capability.

Legit. I can't believe this thing even worked. I'm using it with my Nexus 7. It has usb otg but no IR port so I figured this would be the way to go. Pretty good! I have only used it with the standard app the product is meant to use and haven't really tried another IR android ap but this is really just for those odd moments when I cannot for the life of me find my remote control and need something just to work the TV and Cable Box asap.

I love this thing. It's amazing! I downloaded zaza remote, like it says on here. The instructions are in chinese, but that doesn't matter much. As long as you have that application it does the rest for you pretty much. We had been missing the remote to our television for years, and because of its age had had some issue finding a remote to work with it. This product worked perfectly after minimal set up in the application. Somewhere in the question someone asked if it would work on an S6, and someone responded that it probably would NOT work, as it did not on their Note 5. I was worried when I read that, as I have a Note 5. But it works like a charm for me. I gave it a 4 just because I can't figure out how to program it to my DirecTV. I'm sure it's not that hard, but I couldn't figure it out right away, and that's not what I needed it for anyways. It works perfect for switching between the inputs on my TV just like I need!

Wonderful little device. I knocked it down a star because all the instructions are in a foreign language and the shape and size will not fit any case. But I must say it does work with my S7. The infrared was my favorite feature on any phone and it shocked me they would even take it out. When I upgraded it was a huge disappointment. So what you do is you download a remote app called Zaza, pick your TV make and you go through the config process of powering down/up your system, check if it worked or not and then the rest of the buttons fill up as you confirm if they work. After that it works like a charm. No issues. They even have a decent widget. Good on them!

So far so good! Tried number of devices and they work fine. Did not test any learning features yet. Only ZazaRemote recognises the device, from the few i tried, but that's ok - the bottom line - i can now dependably control number of devices from my phone. Wish it had a type c and not micro b usb connector, but no problem using a plug converter - just does not look as nice sticking out of the phone....

Plugs into the USB on my Verizon Droid. Needs an App such as ZaZaRemote, but in conjunction with that is very flexible. It receives as well as transmits, so the App can learn any remote. I have 6 remotes set up and working using this. Would have given 5 stars but for two things -- range is only about 10 feet -- after that it gets a bit spotty. Also the physical design assumes the USB on phones is always centered on the top/bottom of the phone. On my Droid it's on the lower left side, so I have to hold the phone at an angle to use it. One more thing is that it takes up your USB port so you can't charge your phone at the same time. At this price, you can't go wrong. All the remotes I looked at that would take the place of this were in the 100's of dollars.

I love this thing. I can control ALL my IR devices and it doubles as a prank tool when you are out somewhere with a T.V or projector. I am going to get in trouble using this thing but gosh darn it I love it! I used the ZaZaRemote app and within a few minutes I was turning on an off TV's all around the house! The first one I got was bent a bit and did not work but I contacted Amazon who let me order another and waive the 1 day shipping cost and sent back the other for a refund. I 100% recommend this. My phone is a Droid Turbo VZW if you are curious!

Fits securely in micro USB slot on my phone. Worked with the ZaZa Remote app upon installation. App is what really makes the device great. Has a huge library containing most devices with a user library for most others. However, I normally just used the DIY feature and copied an existing remote when I could. Won't work on devices without OTG, but there is a similar device that uses the headphone jack that I use on my other phone. Worked well for a few months, then after my phone got slight water damage, any time I would plug it into my phone (2013 Moto X), it crashed. It does the same on my girlfriend's 2013 Moto X, but not with my friends' S5, Zenphone 2, or Nexus 5. So I'd just write it off as a complication with the X's unique hardware.
