Two out of three of these worked well. I put one in my 1955 jeep last year, and it is very nice to see exactly how much oil pressure. The old jeep has oil pressure issues and is in need of a rebuild on the motor so this gauge helps me watch things until I can get it taken apart. The gauge seems accurate as I compare to the old gauge. This year, ordered one for my 1946 cj2a jeep. It worked for about 1 minute. I just rebuilt the motor and I NEED to see the oil pressure to ensure all is well. I dis-assembled the gauge and found the Voltage regulator pop'd. I was hoping for a bad solder joint or something. Anyways, I ordered a 3rd and that one arrived in two days. I postponed my first time startup on the rebuilt engine until I had a gauge. Connected the 3rd one and It has been working every since. The one that blew was not cross wired...it worked then just went out. Not sure what to make of the one bad gauge out of the three I ordered.

I installed this tach in my '80 suburban to find out my rear axle gear ratio lol. Works like a charm and what I suspected: 3.73s. The gauge housing that was included bolted to the dash faceplate perfectly. The needle shows RPMs smooth, not jumping around. Yes the blue light is bright at night, not so noticeable in the day light. Overall very good for the price. Only downside is the bulb cant be changed for a different color.

bought this for my 1 cylinder go kart engine. checked it with a laser tach i verified against my car (was less than 25 rpm off) and in 4 cylinder mode it seems fairly accurate at idle and redline, less than 100 rpm difference each. i bought a pack of resistors because i thought i would have to make it more accurate, but i might not have too it seems!

This taco meter worked great on my volkswagen beetle. Set up was simple, installation a breeze. My main complaint is the backlight. If you enjoy a pleasant night drive free from being blinded by your own genious then I would recommend not hooking up the led back light. Maybe someone can answer my question, can you use a control dimmer knob on the led function of this tac? Any input would help. Over all perfect function of product, just a little bugaboo with the backlight that's all. ~Jack

Works on my 2000 Ford Ranger 2.5 Is it accurate? No idea but it's easy to install, I used a fuse tap for ignition power (red), basic ground (black) and green wire to the tan/white wire on coil pack closest to firewall. Delivery said it was going to take a month and a half but mine arrived in two weeks from CHINA. Package had a 1/4 inch of EBOLA laden dust on it and I contemplated wearing a Tyvek suit when opening but for $13 it's worth it!

The tach works good really good but the back light is way to bright even when hooked into the factory dimmer switch instalation was about 3 hours because instructions where limited and resorces online for my specific vehicle where limited when trying to find schematics for my factory dimmer switch and like many have stated the back light is wayyyyy to bright they would of been better off using a regular dash bulb for this thing think im just gonna cut the back light wires and leave it as a none back lite tach over all for the price of this thing its definitly worth it

Gauge worked on the first try, ran the green wire to tach output off the coil on a 350 TBI. It won't read any rpm until the engine is actually running, not sure if that's my truck or the gauge.. But it seems to react reasonably quick and read accurately. The gauge pod is very cheap though and mine was missing the back side of the nut, so I had to drill it out and make a new nut/bolt... But still a cheap way to add a tach to a truck. Update, now that i wired the LED backlight, it is WAY too bright for nightime use, I wish there was a way to dim the backlight some, I wired mine to a switch so I can turn it on and off. Also you can combine the two black negative leads (one for the tach and one for the LED) at the same spot, works fine and makes wiring a bit easier

Not the fault of this product in particular, all digital tachometers regardless of price (I've used aircraft types that are over $1000) are difficult to visually interpret quickly and this one is no different of course. It does work well and seems accurate, I've tested it on 6 & 8 cylinder engines. My only complaint is that there isn't any way to dim the display for night use.
