Stop looking and just purchase this dolly. In summary, you secure your kayak to it, pull it down to the water, and have fun. It was really that easy.I did not carry it with me on the kayak, but I've heard you can. I trusted that no one would take it.Pros: Can't beat the price. Wheels come off for easy storage. Effective strap for securing it during transport (provided strap not in picture...forgot it at home), and most important...it works.Cons: Really only one. Wheels smell terribly. Must let them outgas OUTSIDE, not in your garage. Even short trip in car to lake, I put them in closed garbage bag.

This has been one of the best investments for us! We live two blocks from a boat launch, where we put in with our (very old & heavy) aluminum canoe. We portaged down once, carrying the canoe and all of our gear (jackets, paddles, snacks, etc), which was a total pain. We took a chance on this trolley and it was perfect for our needs! We only needed the included (single) strap, which we wound through one of the bars near the middle of the canoe and it held in place for our two-block walk. No slipping or shifting, which was a pleasant surprise given some of the other reviews.

LOVE this little item! We have 2 heavy inflatable kayaks (one is a double) that have been a pain to get down to the water with all the supplies we need (oars, food, life jackets, water....) and 2 young kids holding our hands. This made life so much easier. We strapped the 2 kayaks to the cart, dumped all the supplies in the top kayak and just rolled it down to the water. It folded easy enough and small enough that we tossed it in the back of the larger kayak until we were ready to pack up and leave. Worth every penny!

but it works out great! My husband puts the cart towards the front of the boat and lifts & pushes at the rear of boat so he could just then wheel it right to the water edge then remove the cart.

I have used this a few times now . It works pretty well. The strap that came with it broke immediately. I use a heavier strap which I would recommend. I do like that I can carry all 3 kayaks stacked and gear (about 80 pounds). With a large lid it is a bit top heavy. It flipped over a few times on tree roots on the trail. Overall, it’s a great deal and of the trail is relatively flat or you don’t have a large load.

Used it this past weekend on my 17 foot Souris River canoe. Worked like a dream over grass, gravel and pavement. My 11 year old pulled the canoe back to our campsite. Worked great.

Ample amount of strap provided to secure one’s kayak/canoe to the chassis. There are YouTube videos available on correctly securing the kayak/canoe to the cart. Watch them. Will make one’s life easier! My longest haul with this was 800m on a bumpy path with all my paddling gear and day pack inside, and the kayak never slipped off once.

Meh. It works, but has some flaws. First, as noted by others, the stupid stupid design results in the air valve getting chewed up by smacking into the clip that holds the wheel to the shaft. Solution? Put the wheel with the valve facing in. Stupid, but works.

This is a well made, inexpensive kayak cart. I use mine not only to tow a kayak while walking, but have rigged up a hook on my bike so I can pull my kayak behind the bike on this cart. It has held up well so far. I see no reason to spend the extra money to get an expensive cart, unless you really can't deal with the temporary stink of the tires.

I looked at a variety of kayak carts - all very much more expensive than this one so I was a bit concerned when I placed my order. I shouldn't have been worried. Great construction, straightforward to use and fits my kayak perfectly. Assembly instructions were clear - although not really needed. Only thing I would have liked would have been instructions on how to actually strap the kayak onto the cart. Luckily YouTube had a very good video on how to do just that.

This thing is great and the price makes it five-stars-worthy. Seriously, the rubber smell is INTENSE. I even had to keep the box it came in outside. Maybe after a bit of rain on it it will calm down or something. But phew. Beware.

This Kayak cart is AMAZING!! We recently purchased some kayaks for the family since we live on a lake. I have back problems so lifting or carrying my kayak is not possible. I was searching for fishing holders for my kayak when I ran across this cart. I read the reviews which seem to be mixed and I thought I'd try it since it worked for many people

The fat tires work well on gravel and sand (though they do sink on an actual beach.) The frame is sturdy and the tires pop off with the removal of a simple lynch pin, making this easy to toss on your boat and go.

Great item for the price. The strap for securing the kayak is good but attachment to the carrier could be better.

Easy assembly, just pop the wheels on with the snap lynch pin. Strap is long enough to wrap around my kayak. Wheels are nice, big and sturdy. Folds up and stores in my dry hatch.

Take a moment to secure the straps to the frame before loading the kayak and the process will be smoother. The straps were plenty long enough and the buckle was very secure

Works really well, even fits all folded up under our kayak's bungee cords. This way we don't have to leave it on shore at some random location and we can use it again wherever we take kayaks out.

You can definitely load all of your gear on your kayak and make it to the water and back in one single trip. The best part about It to is its convenience.

My husband has a larger heavier kayak and I just recently injured my back so carrying a heavy kayak to the water was not an option.
