Yes, I move my front light freely around. But you do have to keep it at an angle so it will touch each edge unless you plan on holding it or have something else to hold it.

Box: after you set it up and manager to get the groves to line up (as they are not deep enough as others have said) it will be fine for the price. Lighting: I have 3 other tripod lights that came with a really cheap light box and I switched out the bulbs and it still sucked. So I ordered this light box. With this box AND the 3 small tripod lights I can get a nice photo. Construction of the box is poor. The quality for the price is fine but they really could have made groves deep enough to fit the other panel that slides into it. For the price it would be okay but if you do not have more lighting, at least for me and the jewelry I shoot in it, you will not do very well. That said - maybe your camera is high tech and does better than my camera - but - you can always return it if you are not pleased. Keep the box, packing materials, and give it a try.

Conceptually, this is a great light box. For anyone with some technical know-how, the assembly will be a breeze but for the technically less inclined the English translation of the Mandarin in the manual may be a little more challenging. Having said that, my only personal complaint is that the panels are too thin, which also results in the grooves of the side panels not being deep enough. This makes the assembly a somewhat delicate process. If the assembly screws are not tightened enough, the back panel easily pops out of the grooves in the side panels, if screws are tightened a little too much, the back- bottom- and top panel tend to warp. Stronger materials would make this a truly perfect light box as the illumination and light distribution inside the box are excellent.

Great Photo Box. Took me 20 minutes to put together. Comes with 3 colored back drops which are very easy to use. I found that putting them all together and inserting them inside comes in handy as when I want to use one I just pull up the one I wish to use. To secure the backings I just pinched the clips that come in the kit tighter and put them on the upper back part. Wonderful construction made of white Plexiglas. Comes with 2 lights, and gives you the option to use one or both. A light connector comes with the kit to connect both of the lights. Takes wonderful still photos. A cover comes for the upper shooting hole which is not pictured. Box is very large for example, you can put a jewelry display form inside that is tall and have more than enough room. What I particularly like about this box is that you can fit it on a desktop, small table, or counter top. This light box is no bigger that a small convection oven. Instructions were very easy to follow. Perfect for the beginner to photography. I found that setting my camera on "Auto", and using the "macro" setting to get the close up shots works perfectly. As per the instructions given. Don't forget to turn off you "flash" as you will not need it.

I was in a major hurry to get some photos shot for a customer. I pulled the mini studio out of the box and in less than 15 minutes it was assembled. It was so easy with just a glance at the instructions. My photos came out beautifully! The lighting was really good. You have the option of using one or both light tubes. The background was bright enough. I was able to achieve what I needed to do. Later I broke down the studio in less than 10 minutes and put it away. Be sure to save the packaging because it repacks easily and is perfect for storing. No need to keep it up if you are challenged for space. I am so happy with my photos because this mini studio made a huge difference. I highly recommend it! Affordable, easy, efficient and durable. It rocks!
