Its plug and go..if its not working check if your on a un controlled aux on receiver...if it is controlled make sure your radio is set properly to turn it on and page threw functions, if so and its still dark....its fried

i had to make holes in the body to get it mounted. I dont know about waterproofing. I hvnt tried in water or swampy areas. The build is decent and i assume they should do just fine in a damp area or just mild drizzle etc.

I would say that it is too large for 1/16 scale. You might cut it down but the size would look strange to me. Ron

Yes. They dont come right out and tell you but these are 4 to 6 volts. Most receivers have that voltage output.

The build quality is alright, the only complaints I have is that the threads in a couple of the holes stripped out. I had to put a nut on the other side for it to work. It's not the best material, but it works. I wouldn't mount it somewhere where it would get hit in the event of a rollover because it might break. The LED board can be easily flipped around if you want the wire coming out the other side. It's very bright, and I like the different modes. I currently have it mounted on the inside of my roll cage and it looks bad ass. Definitely worth the money spent.

My review is not so much about the product, as there are many companies selling these same generic lights. The lights are good. Definitely worth four stars. GoolRC on the other hand are not good sellers. My product came missing any of the mounting hardware, and the plastic surrounding the individual lights was very scratched up. Bad business practices indeed. So if you are thinking about getting these lights, do so, they are great, just don't buy them from GoolRC.
