A nice bit of kit. It functions perfectly. I wanted an adapter for the Dell xps 15 laptop I'd just purchased. Having spent a lot of money on the laptop I wanted a good, reliable Ethernet adapter but I couldn't justify spending £20+ on a more expensive device when the reviews for this one seemed just as good as any other. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and I made the right choice. No issues whatsoever. My ethernet connection speed is showing as 1Gbps.

I was searching for an ethernet adapter for my MacBook Pro 2016 with TouchBar, and this one works great! I was worried about compatibility because of the new Thunderbolt 3 ports, but I had absolutely no problem, just plug in and you're connected. The product seems well built and design is minimal. USB-C connector is pretty small and it perfectly fits in mac's ports.

Does what it is supposed to do. If you have a notebook with no ethernet port and there is no wifi available you can at least get onto a network and access the internet! It worked flawlessly under windows 10 and was detected and got me straight onto the wired network and transfer speeds seems more than ample.

At first I had some difficulty, however it was not the fault of this product but rather the finicky USB 3.1 drivers that are provided for my motherboard; or at least that's what I think caused my initial problems. I bought this so I can have dual ethernet NICs for a small form factor build of mine, it requires one dedicated for internet access, and another for a direct connection to another PC over a Cat 6 crossover cable. I avoid using wireless connectivity where I can with my home network. After a few days of troubleshooting, I reinstalled my USB 3.1 drivers and it's been working since. Originally it would be detected sometimes upon booting my PC and sometimes it wouldn't, but that's been resolved and once again it has nothing to do with this product. USB 3.1 is still in it's infancy, and the last time the drivers for my Z170 board got updated was over a year ago apparently. Anyway, I must say that what this adapter has over all the others I've looked at is aesthetics. The other ones just look like they're from yesteryear, and while the looks don't determine the function of this product or the quality, it's nice to have a peripheral that doesn't look like it came from the year 2009. It doesn't really matter to me, but it was a plus.
