Too bad Sharper Image doesn't carry them anymore, I have to find them on-line. see less

The body is like a powder coated metal. Sure it plastic pieces on it but they are heavy. The piece is solid and well made in my opinion.

On my unit, the cap is bonded too well to the case to do that. I would have to break the bond to do it.

Did you open the little disc on the very bottom or what? Access to the batteries would be done by unscrewing the whole handle up toward where the stem bumps out toward the top. Hope you can get the bottom plug back on if that is what you took of. The handle screws off and on easily/ Let me know if you get it together
