.625 is what I find the best to drill. Depending on how thick the chrome is, you may need to bump up a size.

Great question. It’s definitely not a hardtail in any traditional sense that I am familiar with anyway. Unless there is some other meaning for the term with which I am unfamiliar (and I have been playing guitar for over 25 years), I suspect they are just misusing the term in the description (it shouldn’t even be there… see more Great question.
