Does it balance cells

A

  • No, it's just a meter to tell you the voltage of individual cells or the total voltage of the battery. It works very well and a "must have" to check your batteries if you want them to last.

How Do you hook up the battery?

A

  • For a Lipo, plug in the balance plug with the negative (black) lead at the top. For a receiver Nixxx battery plug it in at the very top slot above the Lipo slots.

Can you use this to check aa, aaa, b, c, d, 9v batteries if you use leads?

A

  • Yes, if you have the correct leads. There are ports for Lipo balance leads and above them is a location for a nixx battery lead. If you use this port with the correct plug, it will read household batteries' voltage.

      Very nice lipo battery tester. The only thing I really dislike is how loud the beeping is and I haven't found a way to disable it. Looks and feels a lot better than the cheaper testers that only give voltage. Again, the beeping is my only problem with it. I even took it apart but there was no way to disable the speaker without tearing up the board.

      Just wish it had a manual. Works fine, but not intuitive how to connect your balance port to it. Hint: Negative goes against the top edge of the connector. Almost though mine was broken! Obviously, it's tolerant of being connected backwards.

      This works well for what it does. The voltage seems slightly lower than my other battery checkers, but hardly enough to be a problem. I'm using this as a volt meter for my FPV ground station project.

      The battery checker works fine and calibrates fairly closely with my digital multimeter. The confirmation beeps are a little loud. Very acceptable at the price.
