Q

will this work on canon t5i

A
  • It will trip other Yongnuo flashes or RF603 units when attached to the hot shoe - it cannot be used to remotely trip the shutter since the t5i does not have the 3-pin connector for external controls

They're so good, but I would like them to turn it off if you're not using them because if you're not careful you're going to loose all your batteries charge.

While I don't have my monolights (yet) to test how good these work on them yet, but they definitely work when tested on my speedlights. My only disappointment was thinking these would act as a wireless shutter -- they don't. You NEED to have one unit tethered to your camera (the cord is included).

Super easy to setup and they just work. For the price I am hooked. I shot from 30-40 feet away and never missed an accuation. Not a big fan of dip switches but they are solid and hidden, just have to open the battery case to remember which are set to which.

These work great, but are rather long and get in the way when mounting the speedlight to the beauty dish I have. They are about 3" in length. Turning them around inhibits communication to the speedlight.

These are great, they only have one downside: The GOOD: 1- They just work, put them on the camera and flash, turn them on, and go are ready to go 2- The are inexpensive 3: They work as remotes for the camera (this is great when taking my own family portraits) 4- they still work after broken The not so good: 1- the bottom that attached to the camera does not secure, I wish it had the threaded wheel that locks flashes in place The bad: 1- they are flimsy, if you place them on the camera, and use a master flash (a flash on top of the remote on the camera it feels like it will tear apart) 2- if they fall they break and sometime keep on working

Nice triggers. A first pair I've got wasn't able to communicate at any channel. The second pair works flawlessly. The Sony A7r can sync at 1/200s no problem at all, same as the A6000 (EFCS on or off - doesn't matter). At 1/250s the black band is about 5% of the frame, but still usable. Compared to PW or Phottix these triggers are real bargain if you're ok to shoot "old school" without TTL & HSS. The quality could be a little better

As someone who is learning photography, I have been learning about off camera flash photography and all the products out there. Since I do not have a huge budget to get the fancier triggers, I saw a video on the Yongnuo's going up against the top of the line triggers. I was surprised on how well, if not better these little triggers worked. I got mine and have dabbled here and there with them. They work great, I am considering getting another pair since I want to get another flash.

Good bang for the buck. Not the build quality of a Pocket Wizard by any means but at 1/5th the price(very approximate) ...it will do the job for now.

For a single-person studio/small studio use, I would not hesitate to buy these triggers again. Biggest Pros: CHEAP. versus around/up to $150 for "name brand" triggers They are transcievers, so you don't have to worry about your transmitter going bad/having specific back ups. Works on both studio strobes (monolights and power packs, with correct cable) and Speedlites Screw on device to lock on Speedlites (versus the old model, which was lacking this) Relatively well built- I'm not saying throw them, but they'd survive some drops and falls. Battery life lasts forever I've only gone to 1/200th, but they've never misfired or curtained. Largest Cons: For some reason, I just CANNOT make these fire if I'm in LIVE VIEW! I have never this issue with other triggers before... You do need to buy the cables you'll need to connect them to your strobe separately- expect to invest at least $20-30 into those. No ETTL on these guys. Again, for the price point though.... what can you expect? They're not super durable. And finally, there's no good way to "mount" these onto a strobe unit or even a real flat edge, so they dangle. I'd planned on attaching Velcro but there really isn't a lot of open surface area to do so. I definitely recommend these if you don't want to sink multiple hundreds of dollars into other triggers but still want something nicer than the supreme cheapo brands. I would not hesitate to buy them again, and plan to as my flash collection expands!

These work great. They allow me to get rid of the flash cord on my macro rig which allows me to take the flash off the rig and put it at a distance whenever needed.

Just got them and I am very happy with how easy they are to set up. Out the box straight to the camera put them through their paces as triggers and remote shutter on my T3I and 70D using EX580 and a Neewer TT680 they made me look good on an impromptu photo shoot for my daughter and some of her friends. They seem to have a good build look forward to using them for a long time

Worked for me perfectly for 4 years. Pro's: - Great for their price - Multi-channel setup allows you to ensure you're not caught in a web of other photographer's triggers if you go to big events. - Allows for camera trigger + flash trigger setup - Generally works within a good distance Con's: - Cheap quality (light plastic used) - Trigger slides easily to "on" in a bag - Does not have an auto-off function so if you accidentally leave it on or it gets knocked into an "on" position, your batteries will be drained fully - Stopped syncing with each other after 3 years (tried everything the manual and web suggested to fix it, nothing yet) After 3 years of using these, I would say I got my moneys worth and will happily buy another pair if they'll last another 3 years (hopefully longer though).

Works fine with my Canon 350D for remote control triggering. The transceivers and a Monfrotto clamp make it easy to get the shot angles you see the pros getting from the goals perspective. I wanted to try the brand out first before spending the extra money for the TTL capable triggers. Once I've done all I can with these I'm fairly confident they will go on my wish list.

Build quality is decent. Light but reasonably solid. Locking rings work well, as they should. The units are identical, allowing you to trigger the camera both ways with either remote on or off the camera (using the remote shutter cable) Overall the flexibility of this system makes it a very good product and eventually I will be getting another set to run more flashes.
