Such a LED ring light can provide beautiful flat lighting. It is outstanding for macro photography. And can be left on for fill lighting as well. It is not flimsy but due to it's light weight design you need to take care of it. And it's a very handy and useful fill light. Super-lightweight, always-on so you can see what you're getting,
