I have no experience using this with a genuine Canon flash in HSS mode -- but I measured the extension and see no reason it shouldn't work, assuming HSS works fine without the extension. Unless it's a timing thing for this short length cable (unlikely), it should work... unless maybe there's wire NOT connected in your copy, or your settings are different in one case. see less

Hi, this cable can work with Canon t3i camera, and if your sigma dg 610 flash with Canon Interface, it is ok too.

All I can say is WOW-this is a very high quality product-metal hot shoe that goes to camera hot shoe-even has a locking device so a real snug fit. It has a quality build that belies it's cheap price. The coiled cord is about 15" when relaxed and about 22" when stretched. So this works perfect on a flip bracket and does not have a lot of extra cord to dangle and get in the way. The cord is heavy and there are very strong reinforcements at the attachment points. With wireless commander mode you really don't need a off camera flash cord unless you want to use HSS- high speed sync with your external flash and for that it works great. I usually don't buy the off brand knock offs but heard this one was a winner and yes for sure it is.
