A review by sped mentions usb working well with artesian software for coffee roasting. i was wondering if he was using a mac or pc? plug and play?

  • Yes, I had to ensure the port to the unit was sending information but it was basically plug and play. Make sure to hold the PC link before hitting the Start button in Artisan.

Will the usb output to a thumb drive? what is the output format?

A

  • No - the meter just transmits the current temperature values out through the USB port. Some software is needed the other end to do something with it. The software supplied with the meter will do this on a PC and could store the data on a thumb drive for you. You can't do this without the PC.
