I use a pair of 10x80 binoculars for astronomy, and I needed a monopod for a recent Messier Marathon. This one worked quite well when I paired it with a ball mount. The rubber around the tighteners seems loose, or easy to come off, but that won't interfere with my purposes. A good value for someone looking to stabilize bulky objects.

I purchased this monopod to carry in the side pocket of my backpack. With a ballhead attached it is only 18" in length and is about flush with the top of my backpack when stowed away. The bottom section is pretty thin (12mm) to handle heavy gear when fully extended without wobbling, but it should do fine in a pinch. (The monopod is rated to handle 22 lbs.) Most of my shots are from a seated position so I only use the top 4-1/2 sections of the six sections available. It is pretty rigid in this configuration. For the price, I think this is a great addition to my pod arsenal.

Initially I was very apprehensive about ordering this monopod as I was afraid it may be too flimsy. While this may not be the best option out there, I find it very well made. It is stable enough for my Sony A6000 with 55-210mm lens. If someone needs more than this, then they should pay the price. For the money, this is a very, very good buy. I was looking for a monopod to take on an Italian vacation. Since most places will not allow a tripod, I wanted a monopod for added stability in low light situations. I also wanted it to be light weight and to fit in my Yaagle camera/laptop backpack. This monopod meets all the criteria. I am very happy with this purchase.
