Can it be used over an open fire?

  • Yes,but it's much better used with a camp stove.Something like a "pocket Rocket".

      Very small . . . Fits 4 cups of water, extremely light, seems pretty durable. I give it 3 stars for 2 reasons: 1. One of the holding clamps is very loose, it flops around everywhere. 2. The lid sits inside of the pot making for an awkward seal. It also reduces the amount of liquid you can put in it. Conclusion: Very decent for the price but don't order it if you're in a hurry to camp/hike as I was. Now I have no time to get it replaced. -cheers **UPDATE: After returning from my section hike of the AT, this thing held up great ! I put it through hell and back and this little pot survived the whole way through.

      The handle does not stay unfolded so it does get Hot , you will need to use something to protect your hand from burns.
