These gloves were exactly what I needed for work. My hands get so cold at my keyboard they actually hurt and become immobile. There is a paper-like heating element on the top and bottom of the palm area inside the glove that touches your hands, and that is the only part that is heated. There is no temperature control, but since my hands are so abnormally cold, it is always comfortable for me. I prefer these gloves over others because I don't want individual fingers with just the ends cut off, too clunky. These gloves with the one large hole are flexible and comfortable. It takes some adjustment to get used to plugging them into my laptop and having wires all over the place, but I tuck the wires under my keyboard so they are generally out of the way. I just unplug myself to attend meetings while still wearing the gloves. As soon as they are unplugged, the heat immediately disappears, there's no heat retention. But the gloves even without the heat are good enough to attend meetings and help me stay comfortable. I wear these gloves about 4-6 hours a day, 4-5 days a week. They take a beating with me forgetting to unplug before I walk away, so after 2 months of wear, one of them has broken as the wiring has come off. However, I think they are still the best of the options for my needs and at such a reasonable price, I have ordered 2 more pair to keep handy.

I gave these to a coworker of mine whose hands are constantly cold. She loves them. They allow her to work while keeping her hands warm. I feel like this may have been designed as a little bit of a gag gift, but they have made the world of difference in my office. She actually bought a pair for her daughter and to plug into the USB port of her car to keep her hands warm in the winter.
