Product is a metal spike used to impail small pieces of paper. Does the job flawlessly. The weighted base makes this piece feel very solid. Top quality construction. The spiked tip is not super sharp, however this can be remedied quite easily by any average Joe/Jill with a metal file or grinder. (or a full-on blacksmith metallurgy expert if that's what you're into)
