    This MIDI controller works perfectly out of the box. If you enjoy misplaced hubris, feel free to read further. It’s astounding to imagine that a musician could be lazy, but I am here to tell you that you can believe me on it. This device had dismal reviews but I decided to order anyway because Dr. Dre taught my friends what I have known all along: they are all the same product with different logos. I knew this manufacturer was getting a bad rap from lazy kids! Unfortunately, there is no instruction manual in this packaging — because it was put together by a company that knows I would rather save 25$US on a plug and play product than have a fancy box and slip of paper telling me to plug it in and play it. For those precious souls having trouble “turning on” their device, you do this by plugging it in to the controller and playing a note, I KNOW, CRAZY. After that your thing will connect to the thing. In my case this means an Akai XR-20 and an iPad Pro running Korg Gadget. If it’s still in your drawer from 2017, wipe the salty crust of your tears off that thing and add another controller to that huge immovable setup in the basement. I wish I could help you guys out with 20 stars!
