It works just fine and haven't had any problems. It charges the same rate with either one or both ports being used. My iphone was at twenty percent and once I plugged it in,it jump to fifty four percent. Tho' it also does help if used with good usb charger cord. No over heating or it hasn't felt hot when in use. Also noted,it also works perfectly for my weather power station. It's an way older model before usb ports were thought of.

This item arrived in a nice box. which means it's a great addition to a gift bag. The charger is well designed, fits well without wobbling around (I hate that) and allowed me to charge my phone and kindle at the same time, which was great. They both seemed to charge faster than usual, but I can't say exactly how much.

My phone has a USB 3.0 C-style connector, and this is just the ticket for in car charging. I've previously been using a USB 2 car charger, with a lead and a USC C adapter with the important 56 ohm resistor, but while this stops the phone drawing so much power it could damage the charger, it also means that phone doesn't fast charge, and when the phone is being used as a GPS, the charger struggles to maintain charge. But with this charger, and a genuine USC C port, I can use a USB C-to-C cable and get rapid charging. Now my phone is recharged even when it's running bluetooth and GPS and apps such as Maps at the same time.
