Yes, it locks in the different delay types. All other knobs are free turning.

I am not exactly sure as do not use dotted eighth however the tap tempo feature should allow that to be set. Some of the youtube demos seem to have that sound.

I haven't used it for that, but it should work, it's a great delay for guitar. You will need to purchase a power supply, it doesn't come with one, but drains alkaline batteries within 10 minutes. Has a lot of delay sounds. I love it with my guitar, hope this works for you.

I'm going to try to keep it short, so with that in mind... Nux is trying to do way to much with these pedals and that's evident in their "Mod Core" multi-modulation pedal. The modulations are basically the same just oscillating a bit differently. It's not 8 modulations is just different veneration on the same one, and that's what we have going on here. Tape, digital, analog, pan, and mod are all the same delay. That being said the reverse and the p. pong are absolutely different and really fun to play with, but that's not my biggest complaint here. The biggest problem is that Nux is trying to hard to make these things cool that everything suffers because of it, and that's most evident in the range that these pedals have. It's great that it has so much range to dial in a tone, but that's the problem. It has so much range it's extremely hard to dial in a tone. The nobs on it are so easy to move on accident that I loose my settings every time I take my board anywhere. Of course that problem is fixable if you mark out where all the nobs need to be set to. Conclusion, the pedal is just okay. It's definitely not a great pedal and it doesn't stand up to it's advertising, but it's also not a horrible pedal. There's way to much going on in this pedal. If they made it as a 3 delay pedal instead of a 7 delay and tightened up the range it would a great pedal. I can't say that I love it, but I can't say that I absolutely hate it. Before you decide on this pedal I would strongly suggest doing your research on the other delays that are in your budget before you settle on this one.

I bought this delay for the most part on the reviews and it lived up to all of them. The tap delay is functional, and worth using, the analog...so, so, and the digital is good as well. Haven't spent enough time to say how it will hold up, but so far it is a great delay to record with or use on my board.

I have recently decided that after 45 years of playing guitar I should learn more about the various stomp boxes and digital recording techniques. As part of that effort, I carefully combed through store looking for items that seemed to offer good value as well as good performance. I finally decided to pull the trigger on this delay pedal, in part because it has some looping capability. I really like it but I originally had some dumb problems, described below. THIS IS IMPORTANT: When I first plugged it in, it worked great for short time and then stopped working. The initial problem seemed to be the battery that came with it, so I replaced the battery and it worked for a while and then stopped working again. I tried to resolve the problem and eventually became frustrated enough that I actually requested an RMA so that I could return it. Before I packed it up to send it away, I tried one more time, using a power supply instead of the battery. I plugged in the guitar and was able to get it working and then the box stopped working again! This time I was able to determine that the problem lies with the little toggle switch on the top of the pedal. If it's in the middle, it will only work with the parameters that you've saved as a preset. In order to use it for any other functions you have to flip the toggle either up or down. I remember seeing this referenced in some online reviews, but it didn't quite register at the time. As a result of the confusing way this feature works, I'm giving it a four-star rating instead of five stars. The bottom line is that I really like this gizmo, despite the annoyance I initially experienced, and you will probably like it too, IF you remain aware of the way the toggle switch works. I'll certainly consider this company's stomp boxes for future purchases, as I expand my knowledge of effects technology.
