My wife uses it with an iPhone 6 which, by the way, isn't compatible with the built-in Bluetooth zoom function. It comes with a remote that inserts into the handle, but it can be removed and used separately if desired. For example, if you want to do a group photo you can set up your camera and then take the photo from 10 feet away. It also comes with a strap that's attached to the end of the handle.
