    Just received this so can not comment about its durability other than to say that it is plastic and metal and I don't know how long the plastic pieces will hold up. The lighted magnifier is great, providing very ample light for the work area. The only thing I do not like about this is that the unit works off 3 batteries or AC power but there is no AC power adapter provided. You are provided a very short (<3') USB Type A Male - to a small power jack that fits in the back of the base of the unit, so its pretty much useless unless you have some sort of USB power supply to connect to. Fortunately I had a USB AC power adapter with the same cynlindrical plug that fits this unit, so that problem was resolved. Batteries are nice for those who might be using this on a job site, but for workbench work, you need an AC adapter. I give it only 4 stars because of the AC situation.
