    I like the design of this lens hood which matches my Canon camera. I use it in sunny days to keep the glare of the sun off the lens so that I can see the image much more clearly. And if you don’t need it, you need not remove it, just turn it around, that is OK. When screw it back, it can keep your lens safe. multi-function!
