Once installed, the system automatically turns on when the car is put into reverse. If an object is detected while backing up, the system omits audible beeps and indicates the distance between vehicle and car using the on-dash display. The faster the beep, the closer you are. Once the vehicle is too close to an object, the beep turns into a long continuous tone.
