If you know the Amp-Hour of your battery and how much current you are drawing, divide one by the other and that’s how long it will last. You will also have to take into account what type of battery you have. A deep cycle battery can be discharged almost fully without damage; a standard car battery will be killed if discharged more than just a few percent. In any event once discharged a battery must be charged back up immediately, don’t let it set for long in a discharged condition. see less

The meter will not zero out each time you shut off the key. There is a way to reset it, but it is not automatic.

This device is used to measure the level of charge of your battery. The C connection is connected to the switch for the device, usually a golf cart. When the switch is turned off, the device is turned off. When the switch; is turned on, the device shows the level of charge, much like the fuel gauge in a vehicle.
