This Flash is a clone of the Sony HVL-F20M Flash. It is very small and works reasonably well especially given is diminutive size and weight. The price is really incredible. This flash is much more powerful than any internal flash, and much more importantly the flash can be bounced. This flash is for the newer Sony (ie Nex) Hot shoes; Older models (i.e the Minolta type hot shoe) require a small and inexpensive adapter (or else the discontinued Sony HVL-F20AM Flash). Turning the flash off is easy, just bend it forward. Exposure & TTL metering is very good. Some things can be improved (and hence only 4 stars): The flash requires AAA batteries (not AA) which do not last all that long. Also, the flash only works well with rechargeable L-ION (and not alkaline) batteries. Duracell Rechargeables work well. Recycle time is a few seconds a shot.

Clone of the Sony 20M flash for 1/3 the cost. I bought it to trigger my Sony 36am and 56am flashes optically, and seems to do that fine in my quick testing so far. Reports are that it allows HSS as well, but haven't confirmed that for myself yet. If it continues to work, it was money well spent, since my 56am can get off the camera and be another off-camera flash, rather than simply a transmitter to get the 36m to fire. (No built-in flash on A7S)
