I honestly can't tell you the grade of the stainless steel as I gave the garlic press as a Christmas gift. It looked heavy so I hope it works well.

Yes you can press ginger with a garlic press, just be careful. I broke my last press trying to press ginger.

It looks and feels like stainless steel, although there isn't any imprinting on the tool. And, it's made in China.

My chopping garlic days are over! Not sure why I never invested in one of these in the past considering the amount of cooking I do and how much I love garlic. I will say that once it is pressed it is not the "cleanest" and sometimes I have to shake some of the garlic off, but not enough to deter me from not using the product anymore.

This garlic press is hands down the best one I've ever used. It is simple, elegant, and presses through more of the garlic clove than any of my previous ones. Also, since it has no removable parts, there's no possibility of water getting stuck anywhere and molding (problem I had with a previous press that had silicone handles...black mold anyone? Eeeewe) so if you're not quite sure, just get this one! It's amazing!

I love herbs and spices in my food. Usually, I don't miss to add garlic in vegetables, meat and other types of pickle that I make. But I always had hard time mincing the garlic. While chopping garlic, I had even cut my fingers number of times. Then I started grating it to prevent cutting my fingers. Alas ! my finger tips get scarped too in rush. I was thinking of some device that I could peel and mince garlic without any hard time. So, I bought this Garlic Press Mincer and Peeler. It has made my cooking time a bit easier because now I can peel and mince garlic in no time. Color of the device is sober. It is easy to handle too. It can squeeze 2 large cloves at a time and can even hold 4-5 small cloves at a time. This is a necessary device to be available in kitchen for those who love spices, especially garlic.
