There are already many great reviews of this outstanding product, and all I can really add s : just go ahead and order it. Amazon has the best prices, and if you're debating between the Pro model vs Artisan, you can't go wrong either way. There both plenty powerful and big enough for any home uses. The tilt-head Artisan series is more compact and easier for most people to use, so it will likely be the best choice (the price difference doesn't hurt either). My girlfriend and I became a little too attached with the notion of the Pro model, and it almost made us delay the purchase (until we could afford it). I'm glad we wised up and ordered the Artisan.

I have used a Sunbeam stand mixer for over 20 years. Too bad I didn't get a Kitchen Aide in the begining. My Artisan handles the stiffest dough as if it were whipping cream. I enjoy the tilt head and have no trouble using a spatula to scrape down the sides (while the machine is OFF). It's amazing how "she" can cream cold butter, or whip potatoes in a flash. The 5 quart bowl easily handles the double or triple batches of cookie dough

This was a replacement for my taller bowl raising unit, that I had for probably 15 years and 3 or 4 moves. Loved it, but after a kitchen remodel, it wouldn't fit under the cabinet. This one is a higher power than my previous older model, works great, and matches my updated kitchen perfectly. Love it. I'd give you a photo of it in it's new home, but can't figure that out.

Now I see the difference! I had another brand model for about half the price that gave up after 5 months of use. Though they have the same motor strength, the results can't even be compared. Beating 4 egg whites took no time and it was beaten perfectly without me having to "help" at all. The other model always needed manual pushing of the bowl to catch the dough/butter/eggs better.

I got mine when I got married. LOVE IT, CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT IT. Six happy years later and after daily use, it finally died on christmas eve 2002. (the mixer. really by my own fault...an accident by distraction) This is a fabulous appliance, it does it all. I use it for everything from cakes, breads and cookies to pasta and mashed potatoes. (also use the meat grinder attachment) It is like a second pair of hands in my kitchen. Without hesitation I purchased another. When my oven is on, the kitchen aid is whirring away. The cost is nothing when you truly love to cook and bake and use it. If you don't, why spend the money. I am repairing my other kitchen aid and giving it to my sister, who is learning to cook.

I've always admired and wanted one of these. When I discovered Amazon's low price, I bought one. Shipping was quick, and I was up and running as soon as it arrived. I've been using it for everything I can think of since then. My first task was New York style pizza dough. That had me a little worried as the mixer seemed to struggle with my first attempt, but I learned to knead the dough wetter and add a little more flour at the end to get the right hydration. Since then, all has been roses. I have made pizza, several types of bread, meatballs, meatloaf and several other goodies. If things keep going like this, I will be a happy camper for years to come. The only question is why I waited so long to get one.

have not been dissatisfied with one of them. The 5 Quart Artisan 325 volt model being reviewed here is no exception. We have quite a few friends and relatives who use this same model and without exception all are delighted with this machine. It is dependable, reliable, mixes well and we personally have had no problems with ours what-so-ever. It does the job we pay it to do and does it well. Our mixer goes through very frequent and heavy duty use.

This has expanded my cooking options greatly. I injured my right shoulder and neck many years ago making mixing painful at times. I now can make my great grandmothers rolls without giving myself a migrain. I would recommend this mixer to anyone with pain and a love to cook. The cookbook that comes with it is also very useful, I have made many of the recipes including 10 batches of the pizza crust in just two weeks. This is one of the most used appliances in my kitchen now.

I just got this mixer and have been baking and cooking away with it. It has really made working in the kitchen easier and frankly much more fun. Definitely worth the money. I got it with The Mixer Bible cookbook and I recommend it for anyone who owns a stand mixer. It has helped me understand what all the mixer can do and there are tons of great recipes. For just a little bit more money, the book makes the mixer so much more valuable.

If you love to bake, this gadget is by far the best thing you need to own in your kitchen. I just bought my first kitchen aid mixer in cobalt blue (awesome color!) and since I've had it, its been non-stop baking. For one, I got it for a great deal (the best deal) of 156 dollars including tax and shipping. I've priced it everywhere and it can go over two hundred fifty dollars. Amazon shipped it to me in two days without charging extra on a quicker shipment. But the best part of it is, I can leave the mixer going while I have my hands free to wash dirty dishes, put away the ingredients, have less dishes to wash, and the list goes on. For years, I've been wanting this mixer and now that I have one, I don't know why I was dumb enough not to have one. This Christmas I'm saving money on baking for my friends and family.

I bought this for my wife as a Christmas gift and she absolutely loves it. She uses it everyday and it does not bother her carpaltonel (spelling?) syndrome. Now, at Christmas I can buy her attachments so she can get further use out of it. A great buy for anyone who enjoys cooking. We use ours almost everyday and have had no problems with it.

I got this mixer about a month ago. I've wanted one for years, but always talked myself out of it (too expensive, too big, etc.) After finding a great deal here on Amazon, I finally caved in and let me say, I'm glad I did. I love this mixer! I was worried I wouldn't use it very much, since I already have a very nice bread machine (a "Zo"). I find that I'm using it all the time though. It really is like having an extra pair of hands in the kitchen. Cookie dough is so much easier. I'm also making bread with it constantly. It's just so simple to throw the ingredients in the mixer and let it do all the kneading. I've been making fresh bread and bagels every week and it's been no hassle. It handles the dough very well and stays put.

Love this mixer. Got it for Christmas AFTER doing about a dozen variations of cookie dough between TG & Christmas using my old hand mixer. Never again! Use it a lot, mostly for kneading bread and pizza doughs. Indispensable. I had some reservations due to those reviewers who had problems with gear failure, especially with heavy doughs. Clearly you have to use low speed for bread & pizza dough kneading. I'm experiencing no problems whatsoever.

I'm certainly no expert, since this is the first stand mixer I've owned, but I've had it for about 6 weeks now and I have really used it. I've been kneading bread dough with it at least once a week (and I never baked bread from scratch before) and making muffins and cookies, whipped potatoes, pizza dough, anything and everything. I haven't used the wire whip yet. Both of the other attachments and the bowl I've been washing in the dishwasher with great success. I've mixed up double batches of bread dough, pizza dough, and muffins, with lots of room to spare in the bowl and no apparent strain on the motor.

I had my mother's slightly less powerful (than this artisan version) 5 quart mixer, which I used for over a decade till I received the cobalt blue artisan as a wedding gift 15 months ago. To be honest I had always wanted a cobalt blue one to match my kitchen -- my mother's mixer, after over 20 years of regular use (and being shipped twice across the country!), still worked perfectly.

I've had a KA stand mixer in one form or another for about 25 years. I've owned an Artisan for about 2 years now. I like to bake, especially bread, and the mixer never lets me down. I bake for just my wife and me, and the Artisan is perfect for us. If I was baking triple batches of cookies or bread recipes with 8 cups of flour, I'd want to move up to the 6 quart pro version.

I have been wanting this stand mixer for many years now, the price kept me away since I had a hand mixer and the money was always welcomed in many other places. I consider baking a hobby, I am not great at it but I am learning and doing it makes me really happy (and my husband since he loves eating whatever I make) I was really excited when this holidays I received this beautiful Ice color artisan mixer, my loving husband bought it for me and I immediately baked some chocolate cookies. I can't say enough good things about this product, the mixer it's heavy, sturdy everything looks and feels like excellent quality and you know that this will last you for all your life.

Wow! Can't believe I waited this long to get a mixer! I love it, one of the best additions to my home...ever! I've always used a hand mixer, and 99% of the time baked from boxed mixes. Didn't think I needed a stand mixer..... I was wrong. I only bake from scratch now (I think my boxed mixes are expired) and it has 'stirred' a new love for baking! It makes you want to bake...try new things...and create! I've only had it a few months, but so far no complaints at all. The color on the aqua is beautiful (it's hard to tell online), it's a blue/green with SLIGHTLY more green tint, but if you have aqua accessories I think you'll like it. It is best compared to a Tiffany Blue. I highly recommend this, the possibilities are endless as you can buy attachments and it's not just for baking! I also purchased the paddle attachment for creaming and love it. It scrapes the bowl pretty well, although you still have to do a few scrapes here and there.

I did a lot of research on the web before I bought this Artisan model mixer. After looking at the various models on many different websites, I think the Artisan model is the best value. Unless you're in the catering business, the 325 watt motor and 5 quart bowl are completely sufficient for everyday needs. Although the models that lift the motor instead of tilting it back are more expensive, I think the tilt is more desirable as it's easier to add ingredients. Basically, you get a lot of power, capacity, and design for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend purchasing an extra bowl
