I think it is fairly adequate to install the unit (even I could follow the instructions, the unit is still working) The power source comes from tapping into the reverse light lead.

I installed it in a Mercedes Vito. It's great I have tow ball and I tried that the placement did not interfere. The digital screen did not reach the cable to put it in the center of the dashboard (it's a van), so I have the light device on the dashboard left area on top of the ventilation grille. I'm hot to put it in a more modern car that I have seeing how well it goes. Recommendable.
