Maybe they assume you'll be aware of USA standard wire colorings, YELLOW RCA for video in, comes with both yellows so you don't need a gender changer on your VIDEO-IN line, also the black wire for negative power, red wire for 5 to about 15 volt DC + in to power the unit, and BLUE in for well, I don't know what, probably to send power OUT to a camera or an indicator bulb. You will find this to be a very forgiving unit, I've used many of them for office workers to monitor lobby cameras and so forth. Unit has a very nice range of contrast and brightness. Only drawback is.......the power on and off must be held down a specific short push or unit won't turn on. Good luck with your installation. These things last forever and can take abuse, dropping, etc. they take a lot of voltage ranges without damage so you can power one with any old DC plug in wall transformer unit of 6v, or 9v, or 15v, not strictly limited to 12 volts DC in. see less

if you're not going to use in the car will need to use a voltage adapter, if you connect it to the car directly to the dc feed truck, bring bring the wires, one red one black is the positive which is negative and one that can be yellow or blue the remote that comes from the dvd player does so automatically turn the screen.

If your camera has video output if it will work, but remember that you need a source of power for the monitor works with 12 Volts.

I powered mine off a 12v 5000mah battery and it lasted well over an hour, never reached its max so I hope that gives an idea.

Finally received all the bits and pieces for the FPV copter and put this monitor to use. Works well, good colors and so far not broken (have dropped a couple of times and was slightly surprised it did not break). Definitely a good choice for "playing" around with FPV before investing in goggles or other display equipment.

For what it is, the price is right. Overall quality is acceptable and picture is good. It has 2 video inputs but none for audio, so some applications are limited. I bought it for a budget ground station project, trying to build one for under a bill. Project was a success, only the limitations of the monitor were the blue screen effect, it bothers some others deal with it, but in the case with this monitor it takes about one full second or more to regain picture after losing it. All analog video systems flicker so it would lose video even at fairly close range. It works for what it is, but if losing picture due to blue screen bothers you, look elsewhere. If you fly within close proximity with a decent antenna setup, you could get away with it. My two cents.

We replaced the old monitor that is connected to a camera in a horse trailer in our truck w/ this updated model. The wiring is all different, even though it's the same brand, but my partner is an electrician, so knew how to McGyver so it will work. There seems to be quite a bit of glare, but iunit works, so we can see our horses when hauling them which is a big relief

Slightly confusing mounting bracket but it all worked out. The screen colors aren't too vivid but OK for what it is. Both screen and remote allow you to make adjustments to the screen. Has port for second camera or dvd input. I leave the camera on all the time in my RV so it acts like an inside rear view mirror and it works well.
