How many amps does this draw when energized with 12VDC? thanks!

  • I don't think it draws many. The fuse in it is rated for 2 amps. At least from what I can recall installing it. Hope it helps.

So it is draining power continously from The battery, not so green right?

  • The magnetic field requires current, which requires power, which requires a power source green or not green.

      Very powerful magnetic lock. When it is powered at 12V, the electromagnet is activated, when the power is removed the electromagnet is deactivated and the door or cabinet can be opened.
